Hello, I've been collecting miniatures for a long time, mostly Space Marines, that I'm gathering Imperial Regiment (with 3 brigades). I have plans to create Dark Angels brigade and 2 Astra Militarum brigades. Also, these brigades have their own support organizations and there's alot of projects to expand my forces. I'm still looking for new things to add, but I have difficulties with fluff, how to combine them with my earlier groups. I would appreciate any comments to add my collection.

So, I have Astra Militarum Steel Legion, based upon planet Armageddon..

-2 x Company commanders (with command groups, commissars, priest, other staff)
-Bullgryns
- five infantry platoons (with command and 2 squads each + special weapons squads)
- ten chimeras
- sentinels and tanks

And as for the Adeptus Astartes, full DA company formed into brigade
-50 tactical
- 20 assaults
- 20 devastators
- whirlwinds
-30 scouts
- land raiders
- bikes

And other Imperial Forces
- Knights
- Skitarii

So after these, I have plans for the following:
- Scions
- rough riders (tallarn style, from AoS dark riders)
- more sentinels
- more tanks
- more super heavies
- conscripts (into savlar chem dogs style)
- heavy weapons teams (valhalla or desert fox style)

- Ravenwing black knights
- Land Speeders

- Black Templars
- Space Wolves
- Sisters of battle

Any advise, like, what to add with addittional 5000 points, are welcomed!

What sort of Guard tanks do you have?

Fluff wise the armour/artillery/infantry usually come from different regiments. It's not impossible to fluff around but they are usually like "the 8th Infantry regiment and the 32nd Armoured". This would probably go well with your planned 2 Guard brigades. You could make one the "Whatever 54th Infantry" and the other one the "Whatever 62nd Armoured". As a small note, if an armoured officer and an infantry officer have equal rank then the infantry officer is usually given command. I guess armour is seen as supporting the infantry.

You could also add some sort of support vehicles, like trojan carriers and atlas recovery vehicles.

This may be useful, its from Imperial Armour and shows an Armoured Regiment's TO&E. I'll admit that it is far beyond your scope but it is quite a nice thing to see how things are organised.

Spoiler:

Edit: Missed the fact you said Steel Legion. That sort of makes your army mechanised right?

Rough riders or conscripts.

Rough riders maybe but conscripts don't fit well with Steel Legion.

Are you trying to make a fluffy Steel Legion force, or a more well rounded general AM force?

Yeah, I'm most intrested about including forces near to Armageddon in the galaxy-map of 40k. Baal is also near there . Military organization is the most intresting, and my forces are formed;

Dark Angels (brigade) + Ravenwing (2x outrider) + Armoury (spearhead)

Steel Legion 84th (mechanized brigade) + (infantry/mixed brigade) + (superheavies)

Other Imperial
- Knights
- Skitarii battalion
- assassins
- some space wolves
- some black templars

Both rough riders and conscripts are appealing to me. Tanks that I have are;
- hellhound
- deathstrike
- hydra
- 2x leman russ demolishers
- leman russ punisher
- shadowsword
- 3 sentinels
- 10 chimeras

Thanks for the chart. Is it from Horus the Heresy?

EDIT I got inspired by trickstick's chart so I'll be doing an armylist into new thread.

It's from Imperial Armour Volume One - Second Edition. Quite a nice read if you like Guard armour. I would recommend it for reference if you find one. The rules are completely out of date so people may sell them cheap.
