Hello I am going to my local hobby store this Sunday and I am looking for some tips for making a synergized list. Im not looking for WAAC but rather an army that works well with all given components.

I don't own the core rules yet but I feel like three HQ's makes it not battleforged? Maybe I could drop the Warboss and add some gretchin for chaff, Or maybe five lootas?

This list looks legal to me. You only have 2 HQs btw, Pain Boy counts as an elite choice in 8th!

Thanks I didnt know that about the Pain Boy! I tweaked my list if I could get some opinions on it from people i'd really appreciate it!

Dakka jet is 128 points base, and 148 if you add the two additional shootas.
I suggest downloading battlescribe, it will make it a lot easier, and will insure you don't make simple errors.

Edit: pain boy is min 65 points, you have to take a Poweklaw or saw

Okay so, you have to pay for items that the said model comes with? IE dakka jets four supa shootas or a pain boys power klaw?

If so thats why the points are off because I didnt know those upgrades that come standard points are not automatically installed into the base price of said model.

Yes you have to pay for all the weapons, it differ's from 7th in that regard I believe.

Here's a list I came up with seeing the units you seemed to want to use and it gives you 6 CP total because of 3 troop choices. The shoota boyz will be in the truck. Even if you don't use it you can see about how much the points for things cost.

I was just gonna combine the shootas with a blob and cut the trukk to conserve points. Be it a blob that big not all boyz will get into combat so I figure have some shootas in the back that may cause a wound or two before combat.

You can cut the trukk and boyz to save points maybe take a unit of grots for the Battalion detachment for the extra +3 CP? Still need 3 troop choices to have it.

I'd rwally suggest taking a second weird boy if you're running a foot army, the smite is soooo good. I'd drop the truck, and add another weirdboy, get a claw on the boss. And call it a day.

What is Smites rules specifically? I imagine it must benefit from WAAAGH! energy?

They've added a PDF of the core rules. Doesn't include mission rules or the Indices, but it gets you started.

I ended up picking up the rulebook sunday, so all is well.
