This isn't a particularly subtle list, but I figure the general strategy will be "point these models at what I want dead, then make it die."

Detachment: Patrol

HQ (180 points)
1) 1x Daemon Prince:
- Two Sets of Malefic Talons and Wings
- Daemonic Allegiance: Khorne (gains Might over Magic)

TROOPS (320 points)
1) 10x Chaos Space Marines:
- Champion: Bolt Pistol and Power Sword
- 2x Flamers

2) 10x Chaos Space Marines:
- Champion: Bolt Pistol and Power Sword
- 2x Melta Guns

HEAVY SUPPORT (500 points)
1) Chaos Land Raider:
- Havoc Launcher

2) Chaos Land Raider:
- Havoc Launcher

Fluff:

Captain Marvolo of the loyalist Oathguarders Space Marines Chapter never intended to become a Daemon Prince.

But that was before Medusa V.

Called upon to lead the rearguard to protect the fleeing Imperial citizens and retreating Imperial forces, Captain Marvolo watched as the battle brothers under his command were slaughtered by the foul xenos races that infested the planet. With Van Grothe's Rapidity fast approaching, Marvolo's company was butchered by marauding Orks, shredded by Eldar battle tanks, picked off by Tau snipers. Marvolo and his beleaguered Space Marines came face to face with their own mortality and the futility of their actions. They called upon someone, anyone for their salvation.

Khorne answered.

Now Captain Marvolo and the Oathbreakers scour the Ultima Segmentum, a scourge on Imperial and Xenos forces alike. Though his company numbers less than a fifty marines remaining, Marvolo cares not. He has two simple desires before he is either killed or swallowed back into the Warp: to eliminate the Oathguarders chapter and to offer as much blood as he can to the blood god.

Update #1: My first game with this list will be against gun line Imperial Guard. My list is very anti-armour/MEQ, but I am hoping that it will be able to adapt. Thoughts?

Your landraiders aren't paying proper points for the lascannons and heavy bolters, they cost more like 360pts each. Your list is very illegal. 322 for you chaos space marines.

Yeah, telling people how this and that is 'garbage' and they should just throw their minis into the trash as they're not as efficient as XYZ.

So the solution is to lie and pretend that certain options are effective so people will feel better?

take my advice with a grain of salt because I never played CSM, but if someone manages to destroy those two land raiders you're gonna have a bad time.

I'd never take standard marines, as you have so many options that do their job better. I'd recommend swapping the marines for khorne berserkers and sticking them in the raiders (although you're gunna have to shift a lot around as you aren't paying full price for the raiders right now so any advice is probably redundant).

Edit: Don't take two land raiders at 1k if you have even the slightest interest in winning.
