Ok so let me explain this. The political left in the usa likes to be nice to all the races, they're cool with gay and trans people, want abortion rights and are less ok with christianity. The political right is more about family values, sort of worried about jobs being taken by immigrants, is sometimes racist and homophobic and is big on family values.

Now here's the funny bit. Mexican immigrants tend to be very, very Christian as do the Black community. I know they aren't all this way but they tend to be more christian than the white community. Christian people tend to have more issues with gay and trans people, enjoy family values and have big issues with abortion. I know people will say they aren't all christian but in a democracy the numbers matter and in this case it could swing certain political issues.

The funny bit is will the political left awkwardly restrict immigrants coming in and seem racist (the very thing they pride themselves in not being) to keep their gay, trans, non-religious and abortion rights people happy or will they let the immigrants come in and possibly reverse some of their hard fought political rights? Will the political right let immigrants come in to preserve the family oriented, christian, no gay marriage and anti-abortion issues at the risk of immigrants possibly taking low class white people's jobs and possibly making some more racist whites unhappy?

Honestly i think this issue would cause a lot of awkwardness (and in many ways hilarity or at least for me) between both parties because in many ways just because the left or right tends to support certain groups doesn't mean they all vote how the political parties wish.

So what do you guys think about this issue? The usa politics thread tends to get destroyed and i don't come in off-topic frequently so i think this thread is ok for now.

Oh i apologize. I didn't know the whole thing was banned. If so i apologize and wish someone to let a mod know to close. I just thought it was an interesting situation for both parties. I don't go into off-topic much at all so i apologize as i didn't know the exact details of it.

There is so much personal opinion, not based on any factual evidence in the OP, that this is a complete non starter as far as discussions go.

Good way to prove a point is to insult an entire half of the political spectrum.
