I want plastic Dark Reapers, and I'm building a relatively unorthodox Ynnari army.

I think more-or-less-heavily converted Necron Deathmarks could be a nice base for some grim, badass, slow-and-purposeful Dark Reapers. Main changes would be to "flesh out" the thinner mechanical joints and to make the gun more Eldar and missile-launcher like.

Do you think it could work? Would you recommend any other Necron model?

Thanks!

Nothing? It sounds like you don't find it a good idea

I think it sounds like a cool idea but I've no idea if it would work, it'd be great to see pictures if you do it!

My honest idea, is look at the bitz you have on hand or might need, and sketch it out, if it looks right on paper...just give it a whirl, or good or ill. First conversions I ever made look god awful now.

I have the Deathmarks kit, and they are quite tall. I don't know how big the current plastic Dark Reapers are, but I would guess the Deathmarks are quite a bit taller. Not that it's necessarily a problem, just something to keep in mind.

Thanks! I will compare them with other Eldar and cut down their legs/torso a bit if it's needed.

I would recommend Dark Elf Executioners instead. They have that stoic look to them, cheaper than Deathmarks, and don't need much work to get rid of the "robot"-ness of them.

The only problem is, as they are a WHFB mini, they lack ranged weapons so you'll have to source them up from your collection.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

Their helmets are awesome, but their armor is too "fantasy" and doesn't fit my concept of Dark Reapers.
Thanks for the idea anyway
