It has been mentioned that you can roll weapon profile before selecting a target, BUT there's no clear cut wording on this

Where does it say that? You don't shoot the weapon until step 3 or step 4 at the latest. You pick targets in step 2. You don't roll for the Bubblechukas profile before you pick the target, only after, since by necessity you need to know how many dice to roll to hit first.

Saw it posted online, good to know so no one tries to pull it off.
