When Age of Sigmar was released, a narrative campaign quickly followed and (for some reason yet unknown to me) I decided we would play all the way through the campaign, collecting and painting each army as it appeared in the story.

Eighteen months, more than 2,000 miniatures, and nearly 90 battles later... we completed the Realmgate Wars, and did a battle report for every single fight!

I have summarised the whole campaign, battle-by-battle (https://ttgamingdiary.wordpress.com/2017/07/04/the-realmgate-wars-a-retrospective/), and it effectively details the whole Realmgate Wars storyline, from Sigmar's first attacks on Aqshy to the campaigns for the All-Gates.

I think we are going to have a little rest after fighting all of those (who am I kidding, eh?)...

It's been an amazing ride reading all those great reports. You really put your heart into your hobby there and I don't think I can ever thank you enough for it.

I've followed since basically the start, simply an unbelievable body of work you've amassed. I think you have earned the break!

Look forward to your next series of reports.

Warhammer is the right of all sentient nerds!

Wanted to add my voice. Amazing series. Frankly one of the reasons I picked up AoS.

A great achievement Matt, and it has been great following along since the start. I never thought someone would undertake something this large, yet here we are. Thanks for all the battle reports, though I have a feeling another huge campaign is raring to go in the Age of Sigmar...

If you can't believe in yourself, believe in me! Believe in the Dakka who believes in you!

yes, this was remarkable. I'm still astounded by your ability to paint all of those guys, much less play through everything. And you made them fun to read too!

Your battle reports have been one of my favorite reasons for coming here.

You should tell GW about it, maybe they'd feature you in a community article!

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Absolutely incredible dude! I am very happy for you.

The series has been incredible, and you should definitely be proud of engineering such a gigantic campaign.

As said above, let GW know! You might get featured in an article or something
