So, apparently we can now add monkey swarms to the list of things to watch out for in Florida.

Remember Florida is attempting to up its game and compete with the radioactive muties in New Mexico. So far we have:
*Killer monkeys
*Killer manatees
*Killer crocs
*Killer sea snakes
*Killer pythons (illegals taking jobs from hard working American snakes and alligators!)
*Killer Floridians.

As I live in Florida, I can verify this is a messed up state.

A plane crashed in the Everglades and a helicopter looking for the plane found a gator eating the dead pilot.

And then there's the humans that live here too.

Heading to NC next week. Very nice and quiet up there.

It's not so much "Damn nature, you scary" as "Who is the moron who brought monkeys to Florida?".

Well, might as well, since we are killing off all the panthers, bears, and deer in the state.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Looks like the people of Florida are preparing to evolve in a human centipede colony! (Nice things do happen in Florida!)

Spoiler:
Barbara Franz, one of nine people rescued from drowning Saturday by a hastily formed human chain near the M.B. Miller County Pier, is awake and recovering in the surgical intensive care unit.

PANAMA CITY BEACH — The woman who suffered a massive heart attack during a dramatic beach rescue over the weekend was awake Tuesday but faces a long road to recovery.

Barbara Franz was one of nine people rescued from drowning Saturday by a hastily formed human chain near the M.B. Miller County Pier. Franz, 67, is still in the surgical intensive care unit, according to her daughter, Roberta Ursrey, who also was pulled from the water Saturday after a rip current trapped them in 15 feet of water. The family has set up a GoFundMe account to help cover some of Franz’s expenses.

“She is stable, but she will remain in the hospital for a while,” Ursrey said on the campaign’s website.

Jessica Simmons, who helped rescue Ursrey and her family, said Franz was unable to keep her head above water when she found her, and her eyes were rolling back. During the ordeal, Ursrey said her mother actually died for several minutes and remembered seeing her husband, who died in December, before being resuscitated in the ambulance.

“She remembers seeing her husband, and him telling her it wasn’t her time,” Ursrey told The News Herald on Monday.

In addition to a heart attack, Ursrey said her mother suffered from an abdominal aortic aneurysm, and the fundraiser website says she also has pneumonia that doctors are working to clear up. Once she’s ready to be released, Ursrey wrote that her mother will require home health care and physical therapy.

Though still weak, and despite her ordeal, Ursrey said her mother isn’t afraid of getting back in the water.

“She’s ready to go back to the beach,” she said.

The monkeys were brought to Silver Springs in the 1930's when the Tarzan movies were being filmed there. They also had zebras, giraffes, and all kinds of other stuff running around out there up until the late 90's or early 2000's.
When the theme park failed, it became a state park. The larger animals were all relocated, but the monkeys proved too crafty and were just kind of left.
I mean really....what could happen right?
