Hello everyone,

We have just released a range of 6mm miniatures including a truescale 6mm (or 8mm) Warbringer Maximus (Warlord Titan compatible)

They are all now available for purchase from both our website and our e-bay store.

Feel free to ask any questions!

Cheers

Hello everyone,

We are currently at work preparing for Black Earth : Heavy Metal, an evolution to our recently released game Black Earth which will include heavy vehicles as well as infantry units with anti-armor capability.
Here are some of the models we've been working on.

Man, those most recent renders look pretty awesome!

Are those going to be 1/300 scale as well?

Hehe, good point. No, they are actually cast in resin. The name Heavy Resin just doesnt have the same ring to it though

Yup. We are going to make a thing out of transferring all our minis to 1/300 as we have plans for making a boxed game for that scale.

Now that would be interesting to me.

We are making progress on our upcoming release, Black Earth : Heavy Metal.

The game is going to be a squad based wargame and will include 3 factions (United Earth Federation, Homo Inhumanum, Tecton Order). The rules support both 15mm and 28mm scales and all our models will be released in both of these scales.

That larger tank, the weapons team with the bionic faces, and the truck all look fantastic! I'm extremely interested

You might want to make a new thread, since from your OP I thought these were 6mm when they're actually 15mm / 28mm! I'm not sure about releasing in two scales, though... maybe just certain key models to sell in the scale you don't plan to make the main game in?

Love the tank, did I get that right that 1/300 is 28mm scale?

no 1/56 is 28mm

(roughly speaking),

although by the time you factor in minis tend to be on bases and vehicles tend not to be 1/48 often looks better even if it's less accurate

OK, so it's nowhere near 28mm scale? damn. no alternative Leman Russ for me then I guess

*edit* let me clarify - I'd like to know if the tank will be available in 28mm scale. Since I'm completely unfamiliar with regular "1/X" scales I was a bit confused.

That is a good point. We are currently producing miniatures at both 6mm and 28mm scales. The current major project we are working on is going to come with a wargaming ruleset that is initially designed for 28mm. The 15mm scale is something we recently got interested in and since we are already porting our models from 28mm to 6mm we figured we could also do it for 15mm. I personally really want to explore the opportunities the 15mm scale brings as it seems it is the right scale for squad based warfare.

The game has just passed all the major testing phases and as it stands, going from a 28mm to a 15mm ruleset is just a matter of cutting all measurements in half. The ruleset we designed uses relatively few custom dice in which all the complexity of the game is stored.

As for the size of the vehicles, the battle tank below (Bulldog) is longer and wider than a GW leman russ while being somewhat shorter. I believe it has a footprint closer to the land raider actually. The particular tank will be the first model we will put in production as we want to focus mostly on vehicles.

Note that the battle tank is still a work in progress. The finished model is going to be based on the rough concept below with the addition of some extra weapon systems on the turret.

We are in the final straight for the launch of our Kickstarter campaign for Black Earth : Heavy Metal,

The Kickstarter will launch with three vehicles, one for each faction, along with their variants. All the vehicles will be available in 28mm, 15mm and 6mm scales.
We also have plans for several infantry (and even cavalry) models and we hope to be able to fund those as well and bring a complete series of original miniatures to compliment our Black Earth wargaming system.

The 2nd edition of the ruleset of Black Earth will also be available for free for everyone during and after the campaign.

The three different scales in which the models will be available.

The UEF Bulldong Main Battle Tank. The model will initially come with three different turret weapons.

They will be resin cast. We are looking into making some kits into plastic HIPS but we are too early into the tests to be able to tell if this project will make it into plastic.

Loving the look of the tanks. Any guess on the price of a 28mm one? Just deciding if I should wait for the KS, thanks!

Those tanks look cool, and great the way they are being produced in multiple scales.

Had a look at the 'Warlord' on the site - it is lovely, but €55 - definitely the high end of the market. Although guess would rather get something like that here than pay that and more that some of the prices go to for the old Titan types of Ebay

While the renders look great, I'm really worried about you trying to produce a new range of models in 3 scales all at one time. That could spiral quickly out of control. Triple the masters, molds, and logistics...

Although we dont yet have a price set in stone, the estimate is somewhere around the €50 mark. That will include all 3 turret weapons in the preview render.

We have already done 28mm and 6mm on our retail models and it is surprisingly easy to handle the production of vehicles if you already have the 28mm 3d models. Vehicles are a tremendous hassle in 28mm. The 15mm and 6mm scales are insanely easy in relation to 28mm so it is not that much of a stretch to handle those scales in addition to 28mm.

Cool - will the tank weapons be easily interchangeable?

That would be great.

I know GW does side sponsor weapons all the time, but they're a really, really bad idea, at least as shown in the tank images above. extremely vulnerable to enemy fire, horrible fire arcs (it looks like they can't turn more than 45 degrees), and prone to being torn off by any sort of urban/forest terrain the tank travels through.

Why not co-axial guns?

Everything you say is true, and tank designers realised they were a bad idea about a hundred years ago, but then they would be less usable as proxy tanks

All weapons have a simple square coupling. No need to glue it in

Agreed. I also personally hate side spnsons but it was heavily requested by quite a few people. Needless to say the sponsons are optional. There is an optional coaxial gun that goes into the slot on the right of the main gun. In the initial renders that slot is occuppied by a grenade dispenser.
There will be quite a few options for different coaxial guns.
