Hello, in renegate and heretics chaos has acces to the Malefic Lords a human psyker to the dark gods, wich model conversion would you use? if you wanted to make more than one ?
The forge world models are a bit pricey and not that nice.

The cultist champion with the shotgun and trench coat is a nice model. I use them.
But, really, as long as it's distinctive and human-sized, anything goes.

If you want something crazed, you could use the Flagellants ( https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Empire-Flagellant-Warband) as a base, and add Chaos markings and whatnot.

Could be for causual games but i could need to use them in tournament too not sure if they are different enough or if accepted in tournaments.

I'd go with a Reaper mini that has a robe and wizard hat, just for laughs.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Is there an official model for the Malefic Lord? I looked through RH stuff on it recently and the only thing close was those two rogue psykers - which are presumably for the rogue psyker coven.

I know this is a bit of a thread necro, but I will be using flagellants, as was already mentioned. The major modification I will be making is using these heads ( http://maxmini.eu/conversion-bits/head-swaps/brotherhood-heads-bits). I might need to find or sculpt some hands since they are not equipped with anything.
Since they are 30pts, can cast smite, and are HQ, I'm going to have 2 HQ detachments considing of 4 of them each and stick them all in a chimera. Drive it up and unleash an outrageous amount of mortal wounds. Plus if they perils they go bonkers and can punch things forever. A couple bonus CP never hurt either!
Hopefully this helps someone as I found this thread through ye old google search.

I've been using this fella I converted out of a bloodletter, for anyone who wants some less human ideas.

The picture isn't loading :(
Edit: When you mentioned bloodletters, I thought I could maybe just use the hands for the malefic lords, but the bloodletters only open hand is the left one, which would look weird. So I took a look and found that crypt ghoul hands would be perfect, so I just ordered a bunch on ebay. I'm excited to use these!

I wouldn't invest too much time or money into these as Reece has already said they are on the watch list and in line for adjustment. Maybe that takes a few months or maybe a week who knows. Just a heads up for those who might be looking into the expensive options or before you invest into a bunch of them.

Dang. Well hopefully it isn't too bad. I anticipate a change along the lines of making their smite worse (aka one 1 MW instead of D3 like the sorcerer in a unit of rubric marines).
Edit: also the pic is showing up now. That's a really cool conversion! Reminds me of DOOM. Which I love!

I'd consider a AoS character model, which one depends on what of the gods your heretic army is dedicated to.

$17 for the ones I got.
They come with 5 guys. I had to do a little conversion work in cutting off the guns but it was simple.
