I noticed on the Total War 2 play of elves, they kept referring to the seraphon riders as Horned Ones and "rare". Did GW ever make a model to represent the rare breed? They are modeled way closer to DE cold ones (raptor look) than the cold ones in our current prod.

Maybe we'll get some new sculpts to coincide with the release?

Doubt it... You could give a Horned One as a 'Magic Item' to a character in the 7th edition Lizardmen book. There was also a regiment of renown of skinks that I beleive rode horned ones but other than that I think they have been a creature that has existed more or less in the fluff alone.

Warhammer is the right of all sentient nerds!

on the forum. Obviously

They also existed in the 6th ed Lizardmen army book, iirc, as part of the Southlands army list. They were basically just skink cavalry.
GW never made a model for them to my knowledge.

Its quite a pity that they never revisited that alternate army list. I bet those who had a southlands list must have been pissed.

I think the first examples were Tichi-Huichi's Raiders, released as part of the 5th edition Dog of War mercenary forces:

Those are mounted on the same Cold One models used for the contemporary Dark Elves army. There was also a special character, Inxi-Huinzi on a Horned One,which was a Cold one with a special head:

In 6th and later editions, they were replaced by what are now Saurus Knights.

7th ed, technically. The 6th ed book still had rules for them, but they weren't part of the main army list.

In 5th edition there was a character (Inxi Huinxi I think) that rode a Horned One, a very rare breed of Cold One (which only skinks rode at the time). There was a model for it:
