Hello.

I have extra armour on my vehicle. Same vehicle have a barrage weapon. If my crew gets shaken from a penetrating hit I can still fire the weapon, right? What if my crew gets stunned? The extra armour will get my crew shaken. But does that mean I still can fire the barrage weapon?

If im behind a wrecked vehicle and the enemy cant see me. Does that mean they cannot shoot because of no line of sight? If they can see me but im partly covered by the wreck, do I get a cover save from it?

Im quite new to the game and tried to look everywhere for answers. But maybe one of you guys can help me out.

What do you mean by "shaken" and "stunned"?

By wrecked vehicle do you mean a destroyed unit or a peice of terrain? Terrain that breaks LoS follows normal LoS rules. Cover saves only go in effect when inside terrain, I am not certain standing behind it works the same way. Now if it's a destroyed unit, it's removed from the table, thus no LoS breaking.

Uhm I mean that my vehicle got a penatrating hit and on the damage table the enemy rolls 3 and my crew gets shaken. Which makes my weapon snap fire. And with a barrage weapon it cannot fire. But if I have extra armor on the vehicle I have read that I can fire the barrage weapon anyway. Is that correct or is it wrong?

And the other question was if the resualt on the damage table was 4, crew stunned. The extra armour will bring the resualt down to crew shaken. Do I get the same resualt with the barrage weapon, as in I can fire it.

By the wrecked vehicle i mean it is still on the battlefiled but lost all its hull points but did not explode.

And lastly this refers to the 7th edition rules not 8th. I play 30k. Maybe I posted this in the wrong thread?

I just noticed you are on the Proposed rules thread, instead this thread should be moved to 'you make the call'. Also most people are doing 8th edition so it's kinda weird your asking about previous rules.

On the subject matter. You cannot fire template based weapons if you either a) moved too far (6" max for non fast vehicles 12" for fast b) got shaken or stunned or c) roll a '1' on a gets hot template.

All of these scenarios make it so you cannot fire template based weapons, yes even ordinance.

The reason I'm doing this difference is that i know there are ordnance weapons in 30k that are not template based. If it is not template based, then any of these three scenarios you see above will only just make you fire snap shots.

Note: Extra armour only downgrades a crew stun (Cannot move, firing snap shots only) to a shaken (Can Move, firing snap shots only) it doesn't matter which result you get (Shaken , Stunned), you still fire snap shots

A vehicle that is wrecked, (i.e 0 HP) is no longer a model and instead is a destroyed husk of a vehicle, from then on it is instead treated as a ruins terrain

Also, in 7th edition LoS effects if you can target the model, if it's behind things (such as Units, Terrain) and it isn't a monstrous creature or a vehicle then they receive cover if you draw LoS through terrain, if they are vehicles or monstrous creatures then they only receive cover if more then 25% of the model is obscured.

Okey. The reason I asked was that I have been told that with extra armour you can still fire barrage weapons even if the crew is shaken. I know that it says nothing in the rules for extra armour about being able to fire barrage. Just wanted to check. Now I know I have been missinformed.



On the wrecked vehicle part is much more clear now. The wreck works as ruins.
