I have been making a few orky lists with what I have at my disposal, just wondered what you guys thought of them. I also have a unit of mega nobz and some flash gits atmy disposal if anyone suggests I should switch things about.

I don't expect to be smashing my opponents all over but I am just after a fighting chance. I am also open to suggestions on what units to be picking up next, I was tempted to make 9 big gunz kannons as they seem alright on mass.

This list is a really gakky one I think but the idea is the unit of shoota boyz go in 1 trukk and the tank bustas and nobz go in another.

The kans and deff dreads will advance with the trukks and KFF turn one to try and get goods onto the enemy lines.

Kommandos are there purely as a gambit unit as I have them and have no used them yet.

Any input feed back and suggestions are welcome!

your 1k list is a decent base list for bigger games as well. I prefer the mek on a bike so he can take the force field where needed, and hop on over to wounded vehicles in a mixed armor list, but a foot one can keep about 3-4 boyz squads in the 9" bubble, and the wierboy practically auto passes/perils tests, but as long as he stands next to the painboy you can keep stuffing his grey matta back inside.

couple things to think about in your 1500 pt list:
I don't think the Kans really have a place. There are so few of them and they can't keep up with the trukks so your opponents anti tank fire can target the trukks in round 1/2, then switch to dred and kans after that. I think to effectively run kans and dreads you need enough target saturation that losing a couple doesn't change your plan.

Also, putting both tankbustas and nobs in the same truck will make your opponet giggle cuz they only need to stop one truck from delivering its payload instead of two. Depending on your collection that just may be what you have and if thats the case, krump on. but if you had say a battle wagon and another min sized unit of tankbustas, I think swapping the dredd and 2 kans for those and putting shoota boyz and nobz in the battlewagon, and tankbustas in both truks would work out better. Gives you a little redundancy in anti vehicle power, and diversifies the targets for your opponents anti tank to make them have to think a little more about whats more dangerous to them.

And two more killa kans and a bunch of other stuff pre owned super cheap but needs a clean im sure it will come up orky.

What you pointed out about the tank bustas makes sense, I now have 10 in total so I could just split the two groups of 5 between the two trukks and go from there.

I have included a Kopta with some rokkits and a couple of Skorchas for some fun and FA support in my list. Seem to work okay. A Mek on bike with a KFF with the skorchas was fun. I always have some artillery happening - had games where they have hit nothing but they are cool for their points. Some burny stuff in an Ork army helps coz of their 5+ BS.

Both look a lot of fun to play against.
I like the battlewagon model from a modeling and customization standpoint. Lot of fun to build and paint and modify.
I like big gunz too and wish I had some.
Kans are just so kool and dreddz too I would want to use them even if they are easy targets.
Maybe Stormboys?
That would be my only suggestion.
But at the rats that you seem to be acquiring models it wont belong before you add those I imagine...

I made some Kannons yesterday some scratch built ones so I have 9 of them now too lol.

The tank bustas will get split between the trukks and hopefully due to the battle wagon, trukks and flash gitz I should be able to sustain his ranged turn 1 and 2.

So after a few games with the latter list I am quite enjoying the orks, Im not finding myself getting smashed every game either however ive yet to play our local "competitive" players.

I tweaked the list further with the removal of the flash gitz (as at this point level they are just becoming target prio number 1) and replacing them with lots and lots of lootas.
