I would definitely switch one or two units of guard to D-scythes. Also, you should consider a Farseer instead of spiritseers. I know it's not as fluffy, but the synergy is better. Fortune with axe/shield guard is amazing.

I would mix up those WG. Have 3 with blades, and a couple with shields/Axe combo. Because they need the attacks that come with swords for dealing with hordes. And I dont know if you need D-scythes really since your Hemlocks have plenty of killing power. I guess give it a whirl and then post some battle reports and let us know how it works.

Wraithblades are all the same weapon choice. Can't chop and change.
I'd pay the 2 extra points to upgrade cats to cannons on the serpents as well.

Why not just foot slog the farseer? I know it cuts down on his casting but is an option. Drop one of the units to 5 man and add a spiritseer as well then they can both ride in a serpent with them.

Could go one unit with blade, one unit with axe and shield and one with d scythe. Might save some points as well.

Triple hemlock is a nasty proposition.

cheers for that yes - "entire unit" must replace blades with axe/shield

Wraithblades are not good enough for their points.
I'd consider Wraithguard with D-scythes. Absolutely deadly.

If you really want some melee, then go with the second list, but i think you are shooting yourself in the foot. Wraithscythes do far superior damage, and since you are not footslogging them, they don't have to worry about the lack of invulnerable as much. They should get right where they need to be. You could throw in a lock with conceal to make them harder to hit with some of the points you would save making those wraithaxes into wraithscythes. If you did that you could also afford some defensive upgrades on the wave serpents to ensure they get where they need to go.

I absolutely disagree with you on this. With Fortune on them, they are beastly. My first game with them they withstood a charge from Deathwing Knights and defeated them in a subsequent round. Saturday they took a charge from Guilleman and survived with 3...pulled back, took out Guilleman later and also killed off celestine. Granted, they rolled well vs them but they are not to be underestimated. I'm finding foot axe/shield, a farseer, Yriel, plus a supporting cc wraithlord a great strike force (other guard are in serpents)
