Hi all;
I've just started collecting figures *Necrons* I currently have 12 Warriors, 3 scarabs, Triarch Stalker and 5 lychguard, in just wondering what else I should get or ideas on what way to go with my army.
TIA

You can't go wrong with buying more warrior boxes. I'd at the minimum buy 2 more warrior boxes as the warriors and scarabs are both really good. Get at least 10 immortals and then it depends on if you like vehicles or more infantry. You'll need to get another box of lychguard if you want to use them. Remember that max unit or close to max units benefits necrons reanimation protocols.

Yeah I'm not what sure what vehicles I want to go with, any suggestions? Also have Overlord with Resurrection orb

Doomsday Ark is quite good now.
Stalker is very useful.
The two of them work quite well with each other.

Do you have a points level you're aiming for?
For a Battalion you're going to need at least two more troop units and two HQs (unless you use one of your Lychguard as a counts-as/custom Overlord or Cryptek).

Doomsday ark was one of the choices I was most keen on.
1500-2000 Points is the goal.

Yeah I was thinking more Warriors and Immortals and then unsure on what HQs I'm wanting to go with

Well, Lychguard aren't so great, so you can probably get away with substituting them for various HQ for the time being to see what works best with what.
Rule of thumb: if taking lots of Tesla Immortals, Overlords are the better choice.

whatever kills elites like terminators, and flyers. If you can kill elites and flyers like crazy, then youll probably kill everything. The rest is deploying and fighting smartly.

Gauss Immortals and Destroyers are good at taking in elites, Gauss Sentry Pylons are good for flyers.
Unfortunately, only Immortals can be taken in big enough numbers to actually be of much use. The other two are too cost prohibitive.

I have something similar, (I bought the "Start Collecting" set). I saw your post and thought I would comment too as im looking for advice on how to build up the army. I just bought some praetorians/lychguard and not sure how to build them up.

I have the following:
x1 Overlord
x1 Cryptek
x20 Warriors
x5 Lych/Prae
x1 Stalker
6 Scarabs

Any advice to build on this further?

You're going to need more troops.
If you get another box of Warriors + a box or two of Immortals you'll have a decent base for a Battalion detachment.

As for what to build out of the Lychguard/Praetorians... sorry, people don't really use those units so I can't recommend either of them (but I can tell that of the 4 ways you can build that box, Shield-Guard are the least effective).

Yeah I definitely want to squeeze some immortals in there
