I finished this guy off today, who's main purpose was to experiment with decals, namely the pretty large one piece I added to his cloak. I'm relatively pleased but I had numerous issues. Still, practice makes perfect and that. Any comments or questions are welcome

Thanks for looking

Clean, crisp painting. Actually don't much care for the cape (doesn't fit the rest of the mini really). Nice work overall though.

Thanks guys

The cape image was a water slide decal I printed myself. I used clear inkjet decal paper (which looked better than the laser printed run I did) and painted the cloak a standard cloak bone colour, shaded and all (in case the decal failed completely). The image I got from a search of Sanguinius and is him fighting a Bloodthirster (in fact he's about to punch it!). I simply measured the cloak and resized the image, taking into account the cloak's folds, leaving a bit extra to make sure it was covered.

I'm really liking creating decals this way, of course it's probably best for vehicles

Looks good, but the base is a bit bland. I'd add some grass tufts, rocks or something else for some variety.

The base is bland on purpose as it was done for my store. I like to leave the bases pretty bland for standard gaming pieces as it gives the buyer the chance to tie it into their own army more if they want to add specific flock, tufts or rocks - or even repaint it.

Oh cool, that makes total sense

Looks the business. Not sure the cape quite works, but a cool idea.

Love the subtle power effect on the sword.

Only nit picking thing I'd point out is silvering on the transfer could just be the picture and not visible in the flesh, really nice otherwise though great job.

No, not nit picking, you're correct I did catch that and fix it before I sent him off to his new home. Sometimes you don't really see things until you look at the photos for some reason

Man, everyone is whining about the cloak* (not cape) but to be honest, it looks fething great. A+ mate, better than I'd ever be able to do
edit - Got autocorrected, rip
