Subject: [1500] - Necrons - Trying out necrons using "counts as"
Hey guys,
Long time Dark Eldar player here, decided to try out Necrons as they seam to be everything DE aren't, ie resilient and slow vs. fragile and REALLY fast. And who doesn't like soulless Egyptian robots trying to purge the galaxy?
I mostly play against my mates who run Tau and IG, so I'm trying to tailor the lists towards them, but i would like them to be semi flexible
I've written two lists, the first is based off my own understandings from the index, while the second is based of suggestions I've seen in some forums, but tweaked a little. If you guys could tell me which would work best, and any changes I should consider, that'd be great.
First list - my own ideas

If your going 1st list, drop a cryptek, add a lord and combine the 2x 10 man into a 20 man. Flayed ones are very expensive for what you get, Scarabs are muuuuuuuuuuch cheaper while still having more wounds, faster and still lots of attacks. I'd add in a GA to support the two 20 warrior blocks.
Our vehicles aren't very good this edition, most of our infantry tricks are too cost prohibitive to do unfortunately

Also, OP, your second list is looking like the better one... but I don't think you need 3 HQ.
Perhaps consider dropping the D.Lord. He's only supporting the HDs. With only a single unit it's not really worth it.
And your Overlord probably won't need that wargear. Just give him a Warscythe and drop the Orb.
With those changes you'll free up 212 points. That's enough to get a Doomsday Ark. But you know what's even better than a DDA? Two of them!
