Time for another Squat- I mean Militia list for Horus Heresy tournament next weekend. More points than last time, template remains the same in the list structure. Discipline masters being attached to every unit possible to give better ld and medics being in infantry squads giving them the blessed FNP that everyone seems to love. New thing that I am going to be fielding is the ogryn squad that likes to drain points like there's no day tomorrow, was thinking of throwing in my warlord and one discipline master into the squad and see how they will fare in the fight. And then we have the usual troop fielding of mine, three squads of 20 guys with T4 and 3+ save and them shooting up anything to moves with their str4 lasrifles and rotor cannons. Lastly we have the heavy support which was quite no-brainer, rapier squad with three thudd guns and two russes with lascannons for added punch.

Edit: Noticed that ogryns didn't exacly need the collars so removed them and added extra armour to LRBTs

So, how exactly are you going to kill vehicles? Your pair of LRBTs are your only anti-tank weapons, and they can't fire their lascannons at full BS if they fire the main gun. Maybe you can kill infantry, but it seems like against any kind of vehicle-based list all you can do is camp objectives and pray they can't kill your scoring units fast enough.

Well the plan was to run from cover to cover and hope for the best and I don't fail my saves and I manage to charge the enemy tank and slap some melta bombs in. I know it ain't much a plan and against knights I am quite much doomed. So far I haven't seen much of vehicle based lists in tournaments that I have played in.
I hope for the day that I win a lottery so I can manage to get myself pair of malcadors and some thunderbolts to counter enemy vehicles and flyers. Or then get some more rapiers and kit them with laser destroyers.

I would also say you don't have much for AA, praying for 6s from your weapons isn't much, even with the twin-linked laser destroyers

No laser destroyers, they're quad mortars. Literally the only things that can even attempt to roll dice against flyers are two hull LCs and two one-shot HK missiles on the LRBTs, and a plasma pistol on the HQ. And all of them are firing snap shots. IOW, that list is never going to kill a flyer.

Well I wouldn't call it game-breaking for you to not have anything close to AA, but I'm sure some games they may wreck your day.

Well the tournament is over and we had five rounds, but I had to skip one round there.
First match was against custodes where I took a kicking which was rather expected.
Second round was against Space Wolves which was near defeat, could have gone either way but dice decided against me.
Third game was the skip and in fourth I played against Raven guard who fielded primarch and two fireraptors, I won that game and only thing that he had left on the table was one fireraptor immobilized, second one further away on half HPs and single dark fury fleeing. Fifth game was against armoured Solar Auxilia with Malcador Internus with tank commander and chem ammo so it was clear loss with my infantry focused list.
