Hello fellow wargamers!

I have not played warhammer since 5th edition and, as you might guess, I am a bit rusty! After building up some of the new death guard stuff, I have created an army list and I really need help to get it into a state where it would be able to put up some competition on the tabletop.

Without further ado ; the list:
HQ:
Daemon Prince with Wings
-Malefic talon, Warp bolter, Warptime
Daemon Prince with Wings
-Malefic talon, Warp bolter, Warptime
Typhus

Troops:
18x Poxwalkers
18x Poxwalkers
18x Poxwalkers
18x Poxwalkers

Fast Attack:
5 x Chaos Spawn
2x Foetid Bloat Drones
5x Chaos Bikers (flamer and plasma gun)

Elites:
Helbrute
-Helbrute fist and twin lascannon

Heavy supports:
3x Obliterators

You do know that bikers cannot receive the DG keyword, right ? Same with the obliterators. If you can, replace them with defilers and / or predators. Lots of them. Other than that, you should have no problem.

I did not realise about the keywords, thanks for pointing that out! Do you think helbrutes would work in replacing the bikes and oblits? It is just that for points cost, you can have two helbrutes for one defiler

The bikers and oblits not being Death Guard is irritiating. You can still take them, but they wont be able to benefit from Tyhpus abilities.

You can give them a different legion keyword and match that to one of the DP to get some boost.

Unfortunately when the DG codex drops it will probably become non viable to field them in a DG detachment.

Note in matched play you can only cast each power once a turn, so non optimum to give both princes warptime (tho it does give you some redundancy)
Giving one prescience is probably better.

One thing I would recommend is a Noxious Blightbringer. They count as an elite choice, but they're kind of like HQs. They aren't very good at attacking, but they buff Death Guard units around them with speed, and they make close combat fights deadlier for units by them with their bubble of -1 leadership. The main reason you take them is to give all DG units around the Blightbringer 2d6 pick the highest result when making advance rolls.

With zombies only moving 4 inches, you're going to want to advance with them as much as possible, so the blight bringer makes it much easier to give them around 7-9 inch movement every turn.

I personally haven't used helbrutes yet, but they seem much better than they used to be, and they get a chance to shoot twice in a turn if the enemy attacks them, so thats nice hah I agree, defilers are super expensive now.
