I Have Looking In To CSM, But I'm Having Trouble Picking A Chaos Undivided Legion, The Ones That Look Most Interesting Are The Black Legion, Word Bearers, And Alpha Legion, What Are Your Thoughts On It?

Well, it really depends on what you're looking for. In the lore, Word Bearers are known for using a lot of different daemons, and being fanatical devotees of the Chaos Gods. Alpha Legion are more secular, and rely on stealth and subterfuge, and tend to use more cultists than the other legions. The Black Legion (the least interesting imo), are fully dedicated towards the destruction of the Imperium, and are attached to the most successful Chaos warlord, Abaddon. They are the standard for Chaos Space Marines, and just about any unit will be right at home with them.

I haven't seen the new rules, so I can't comment on that, but of those three I'm most partial to the Alpha Legion. The Chaos legions don't usually have as much in the way of materiel as the Imperium, and I think it's fun to see that on the tabletop in the form of cultists etc, while simultaneously leaning towards "sneakier" tactics.

Lord Arkos from FW.

He's wierd. Has a meltagun and a decent ccw. Has an aura which needs faqing as it doesn't currently help the alpha legion.
But gets a bonus CP as warlord and can infiltrate within 12".

If in doubt about rules or fluff, which colour scheme appeals the most?

Black Legion can do just about anything. They are the largest and most diverse legion.

Word Bearers look the most iconic in my opinion. They summon lots of daemons, field tons of possessed/mutated marines. They have lots of fanatically devoted cultists, that they use to cannon fodder and distraction.

Alpha Legion doesnt show a lot of mutation. Not much of anything that couldnt pass as normal. ALallies well with IG. They have lots of cultists, use them often, and depend on them to perform important tasks.

I Really Like The Color Scheme For The Word Bearers, But The Army I Want To Go With Is More Like A Black Legion Army.

I think you can just make up the fluff on your own Chaos army. Then you can choose a color you like, and play it based on a legion you like. So, you can paint it similar to world bearers (with minor color differences) and then say its actually a sub faction of black legion and play it that way.

There are specific rules for all the legions, but nothing game breaking yet. There are different playstyles that are favored for each legion.

Black legion has decent rules and their doctrine or playstyle is pretty forgiving. Jack of all trades with lots of veterans and terminators.

Of the three you have mentioned Alpha Legion to me are the most interesting. Lore, look, and play style can be a deciding factor for picking an army. Black Legion have the most diverse units and are the standard for CSM. The Word Bearers have a distinct look and iconography and utilize a lot of rituals, demons, and demonic units. Alpha Legion are known for sabotage, infiltration, and unique tactics. Have fun with whatever army you choose.

The most commonly played edition in public tends to be the most recently released one.

I'd go with Black legion, I've been considering doing them as well as many of the legions have fun options to play and Black Legion have a mix of all legions, so the one army could be played however you like. I made the following list of Known Black Legion characters and what 'original legion' they belonged to.

Black Legion
• Abaddon - Warmaster
• Falkus Kibre - Terminator Lord
• Araghast - Terminator Sorcerer w/ twin lgt claws or sword and combi flamer
• Zagthean the Broken
• Eralak - Raptor Lord
• Faenroc
• Voidheart

Thousand Sons - Tzeentch
Warband - Kha'Sherhan (104 Rubric Marines)
• Ygethmor - Sorcerer
• Zaraphiston - Sorcerer
• Xorphas
• Xyn'Goran - Daemon Prince
• Iskandar Khayon - Sorcerer Lieutenant
• Ashur-Kai Qezrema - White Seer

Emperor's Children - Slaanesh
• Devram Korda
• Telemachon Lyras

Death Guard - Nurgle
• Skyrak Slaughterborn
• Corpulax

World Eaters - Khorne
• Urkrathos
• Lheorvine Ukris

Night Lords
• Dhar'leth - Daemon Prince

Word Bearers
• Eliphas - Dark Apostle - Daemon Prince?

Iron Warriors
• Valicar - Controls a forge world

Sons of Malice don't have any unique characters (they're a minor l;egion).

They follow Malice, a minor chaos god, and frequently capture and enslave daemons from the big four (I've seen some conversions where their daemons are shackled).

Rubric Marines Are Exclusive To The Thousand Sons, And Dark Apostles Are Exclusive To The Word Bearers, Right?

Yes and no. Rubrics can only be made by a Thousand Sons sorcerer because they keep that secret locked down tight, but many Thousand Sons Sorcerers work for other legions for various reasons. As for Dark Apostles, any legion except Death Guard and Thousand Sons can have them as they are basically corrupted Chaplains. Thousand Sons Chaplains either got Turned to dust or got their psychic powers juiced up, and since the rest of the legion is just mindless automatons, there's no real need for them. Not sure why the Death Guard don't have any Dark Apostles anymore.

So, How Would I Use A Thousand Sons Sorcerer? Would I Buy A Sorcerer Miniature And Paint It In Thousand Sons Colors And Just Have The Shoulder Armor Painted In Whatever Legion I Want To Use, Do I Have To Buy A Specific Sorcerer Miniature?

using a 1k sons sorc with black legion can vary depending on what you MEAN.

at the simplist, simply paint the chaos sorc black and gold,. to represent a 1k sons sorc who signed on with the black legion.

if you're talking taking a exaulted sorc, which only 1k sons get access to you'd be best off simply attaching a patrol detachment of 1k sons to your larger black legion force

Do you love Chaos Space Marines as agents of Chaos (daemons and cultists and all that)? Word Bearers.

Do you love the idea of a renegade Space Marine force that will only use as much Chaos as they need to in pursuit of their nebulous goals? Alpha Legion.

Did you read the HH books and somehow come away from them without thinking that Ezekyle Abbadon is a bit of a gakker? Black Legion. (If I'm being more fair, Black Legion is also great for a force that remains dedicated to the idea of unseating the Emperor and gaining the power that Horus sought without -total- subservience to the Warp).

What I Mean Is Do Sorcerer Of The Thousand Sons Have A Different Miniature To The Normal Socerer, And Would A Thousand Sons Socerer Keep The Blue And Gold Color Scheme Or Change The Colors To Whatever Legion He Is Working For?

I Do Like The Idea Of CSMs As Agents Of Chaos, And I Love The Color Scheme For The Word Bearers, But I Have No Interest In Using Demons ( Except For Demon Princes And Possessed Marines), And The Word Bearers Seem Very Limited On What Is Lore Friendly To Use In Thier Warbands, So I Am Having A Bit Of An Issue Chossing Legions.

the answer is they'd not have differant armor nesscarily but they MIGHT, in the form of the fancy head gear etc.

as for the colours, thats a good question and I don't think GW has said eaither way so.... rule of cool it

regarding picking a legion, if it helps you could just go renegades and open your options up to "whatever the hell I feel like painting"
