My group is having a tournament at our FLGS since I didn't plan to go I'm thinking of instead of doing meta lists to give more practice to them instead to remind them that A the faq might drop and be applicable beforehand and B that they might encounter someone who just their to have fun and flying casual style. Since still has prize support for this game I want to have some fun and possible win more potatoes, aka new focus tokens.

So which one of these 3 and what changes might be needed, since doing these while barely awake is not the best thing to do.

These lists are just bad. Too many random ships/upgrades, too little optimization. I guess you know that, but I'll confirm it. And you're not going to help people prepare for a real tournament by bringing bad lists like this, the common meta lists are going to have no problem beating "just for fun" lists. Not that you should expect to see any of those at GenCon, if people are paying that much money to travel to a tournament you can expect them to take it seriously.

Also, synced turret is trash. Burn the card, forget it exists.

Whilst my assessment isn't quite as blunt as Peregrine's, the design is a muddled mess, needing the TL to fire it may preclude having a Focus meaning using up the lock to reroll both blanks and eyeballs to fish for damage, and even with some set up it suffers from not being a TLT .

Yeah but it's one way to by pass Biggs which is prevalent in my area.

You're right. It can be used as a bookmark if you have nothing better, if you have a few of them you can prop up a table that isn't sitting flat, etc. But at no point is it a viable card in X-Wing.

At the expense of being absolute trash at everything else, and mediocre even when you're facing a Biggs list. Unless your opponents are saying "I'm abusing Biggs, please tailor to counter me" before each game then this is not an acceptable reason to take it.

You forgot possibly making tiny houses of cards with them and Marksmanship

Shadowrun is the best game ever. It's the only thing I have ever played in which I have jumped out of a shot out van with a chainsaw to cut a flying drone in half before leveling a building with ANFO assisted by a troll, a dwarf, an elf, and a wizard.
