Unfortunately, there is still very little info on this. Knowing they also make The Dark Eye for fantasy roleplaying, it almost makes me wonder if Ulisses North America is going to use the basics of that game system, and port it over into the 41st milennium. Many companies that got a certain licence while they already had another game in their product line-up did this.
Guess it will be a (long?) wait and see.

With cubical 7 doing the new WHRP, both are wait and see.. Plus I already have a shelf of Fantasy Flight version collecting dust.

I hope not. I backed the KS for the Dark Eye English translation. That game has a great setting, but really complex character creation and some pretty clunky rules. If that's your thing, you'll like it, but it's not beginner friendly in the nerdiest sort of way.

I just hope its more than humans vs humans vs the odd eldar and genesteler cultist and chaotic heretic.

It is harder to envision some 40K races on the small scale with the way that most are insanely xenophobic. However it would be neat to have all factions represented from Imperials to Tyranids and Tau. Even the new characterful Necrons could have a go

IDK. I'll wait and see. I heard good things about fading suns...

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

That's the thing, though, the setting doesn't allow for tons of alien interactions aside from the straightforwardly violent ones. That's why Rogue Trader used Rogue Traders, they're less confrontational than, say, the Inquisition.

If you wanted a 40K RPG to have non-human Player Characters, you'd pretty much have to set it in Tau space, though with abhumans you can stretch that a bit in Imperial space.

The FAQ say they'll be using a d6 dice pool system that emphasizes action. Good news.

I worked with Ross in the Black Industries days and look forward to doing so again.

He's got a solid had on his shoulders - the line is in good hands.

I have zero issue discussing it here but figured I'd post the link to the news thread (and subscribe here too) to make sure no juicy info is missed.

Will anyone here be going to GenCon and be able to give us the scoop on Ross' seminar?

Can't say much till we know more, but at least somebody is working on the concept. It'll be something to keep an eye on, at least.

Emperor's Eagles (undergoing Chapter reorganization)
Caledonian 95th (undergoing regimental reorganization)
Thousands Sons (undergoing Warband re--- wait, are any of my 40K armies playable?)
