I've branched out from WW2 and started a new miniatures company for some Sci-Fi concepts I've had rolling around my head. The models are approximately 2 inches in length. I will also be releasing them in 1 inch scale as well.

Oh man, those designs are so damn fun I might have to break my rule against buying metal. I really need to think about this.

Did Wave 1 also begin as renders, or were they hand sculpted?

Nice, I get a 70s Space Battleship Yamato vibe off some of the wave 1 guys.

Are they designed for Silent Death and Star Eagles?

Some of these look like they'd be right at home in X-Wing.

I rather like those second set of designs.
By the way, did the thread title make anybody else think of the move, The Last Starfighter?

The two inch ships were made to be compatible with X-wing. Right now I'm working with Two-Hour Wargames on offering these along with their 51/50 rules. So stat cards are being made, and photoshopped renders will be in the published rule pages.

I am starting to convert some of these to 1 inch size for Silent Death. That will take some time though as the details on some will get smaller and will need to be exaggerated in order to print correctly at that size.

All the ships are sculpted in Z-brush. It's a very organic process, as I don't really have an idea of what a ship will look like when I start. I've done enough now that I have a good parts library to use...which sort of helps keep them all looking consistent.

Defiantly a lot of Sci-Fi influences in there. I grew up on watching Starblazers, Speed Racer and Macross. Wave one was me experimenting with the software. Wave2 I have a more definitive idea of what I want to sculpt in the design and knowledge on how to do it.

Thanks for looking!

Looking nice - have you thought of posting this on Star Ranger's Starship Combat Forum - http://www.star-ranger.com/forum/

Great forum for starhsip mini related discussions - I lurk there a lot!

new fighter design for 51/50

Next models I'm working on are some smaller capital ships. Most likely these would be resin with metal gun turrets.

New sketch for an Earth Fighter. Sort of a Retro look based on the F-86 Sabre.

I love the mix of styles. Maybe some Raygun Gothic/Flash Gordon ships?

I can certainly spin off some unique miniatures fleets and take some requests. I'd like to keep churning out two or three designs a week, then only cast the popular ones.

These are super cool and the 1-inchers would be perfect for the homebrew game I've tinkered with over the last year or so. Definitely going to keep an eye on this for when more of the 1-inch versions are available.

Loving those, both the small and the big ones. I'm getting a Yamato 2199 vibe out of most of them, for some reason.

Also some new previews. Not sure if I will put these into production yet, but I'm working on some under hull/wing weapons pods. Should be compatible with y ships and others.

I love the look of this, but to my mind it should be the X-86 'StarSabre'. There's probably a rich seam of material in sci-fi space versions of popular fighter jets, e.g. X-16 StarFalcon, X-22 StarRaptor, X-111 StaarDvark, and not forgetting the X-104 StarStarfighter.

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

Hey Company B -

Do you sell these as STLs or as pre printed parts? I am in a bit of a rush so I am unable to check out your shopify store

All the ships are up on shapeways if you want prints instead of metal. As far as the .stls, I'm open to selling them, either the whole files or components. I also do custom miniature/ship designs as well.
