me and some friends stumbled across the Inquisitor rule book a few weeks ago and were inspired to start a campaign. I've combined several game systems as well as making rules of my own. This will be my first time as a GM so I'm a bit nevous wondering if everything will work okay. let me know if you have any suggestions. Here is the campaign introduction, several pictures to follow.

++STAR DATE 210.M42++
++PERSONAL LOG OF LORD INQUISITOR EZIKIEL CANE++

On board a light cruiser en-route to Spacehulk Andromedas I look to the stars around me, hoping for some normalcy, some semblance of familiarity… For several hundred years now there has been a tear across the night sky, which some might say is a beautiful splash of purple in an otherwise dreary black tapestry. I However see it as a sign of reckoning, a final punishment for all of humanity’s transgressions. Where did we go wrong? The universe is in peril; we’re being swallowed up by the ruinous powers of chaos and all that can stand in the way of our species’ annihilation is a united front of mankind held firm behind the light of the eternal emperor. This, of course, relies on humanity fighting together towards a common goal, something that hasn’t been seen since the time of the Emperors great crusade. Do we have the will to fight alongside one another to protect what is most important to us, the very existence of our species? or will we fall to dust, the remnants of our great civilization little more than trinkets found beneath the feet of daemons…. But enough of this philosophical rambling, I have problems on my own front to focus on.

I have been ordered to reign in the gothic sector, this cluster of planets is essential to guarding the safety of the greater imperium. I’ve heard faint whisperings of an uprising on the planet Caspian 3 which reek of heresy as well as a complete shutdown of the space port Aquilus for an unknown reason. Due to the nature and scope of the orders I have been given, I found it necessary to gather four inquisitors and their retinues to aid me. These inquisitors will come from different schools of thought and parts of the galaxy to work together, that is if their differences don’t drive them to kill each other first. This will be a true test of humanity’s will to save itself against perilous odds. Will they succeed or will the gothic sector be the next in line to fall to chaos…. The outcome rests on my shoulders.

++STAR DATE 109.M42++

Caspian 3 is a large forested planet with some industrial influence located in the Gothic Sector. The planet has an atmosphere similar to Terra, breathable by both man and abhuman. Not much is known of it’s past before Imperial rule but since 921.M41 when Imperial trackers became aware of the planets resource depositories, and abundance of promethium, industry has become a large portion of Caspian 3 exports. Although much of the planet is still unknown to imperial explorators a hive city has risen from the planet’s surface. A mechanicum factorum is the city’s crown feature employing many of the population. Within the brown and beaten mud of hive city Clexis are trade booths, cathedrals, bazaars, and scrap lots. Here valuable material can be found for both living in the city and manufacturing valuable commodities. When not farming, or toiling in the factorum, the populace can usually be found at one of several local taverns within Clexis. When traveling to Caspian 3 proceed with caution. Due to the nature of the hive city, and the gang warfare that transpires within the lower levels, we advise visitors not travel below the heat sink. Also as the planet is largely unexplored we request not traveling outside the imperial sector. We know not what hides in the forests of Caspian 3.

++MISSION DETAILS++
++ IMPERIAL SANCTION: CLASSIFIED++

All we know of Caspian 3 has been outlined in the text above. The last star date the planet was listed compliant and under Imperial rule was 125.M42, last known communication from the surface were 127.M42. Those are the facts. What we’ve heard are rumors of a heretical movement on the surface, a cult, following the orders of an unidentified orchestrator. Your orders are simple:
I. Determine if there is still an imperial presence on the surface
II. Investigate any rumors of a cult
III. If there is a cult, find the identity of the orchestrator
IV. Bring the local populace back under Imperial compliance
V. Explore Caspian 3 for anything that could explain the disappearance of Artemus Cog
Artemus Cog is held in high regard with the Ecclesiarchy, his family holds wealth and power within the senate on Terra. He was on a Ministorum funded expedition as a botanist to Caspian 3, his goal there was to investigate new flora for use in the high church of Terra for use in _______ what we also know is Cog was an avid reader of Xenos theology and considered himself a Xenos archaeologist by trade. His whereabouts and condition are of extreme importance to the high church. They have offered high accommodations as well as a reward for his safe return.
++You have been ordered to make planetfall 4 miles outside of Clexis so that your arrival goes unnoticed. Giving the propagators of rebellion no time to react. Your coordinates are as follows:
LAT: 171.345 LON: 244.672
Your orders are clear, keep a low profile and extract the necessary information. May the light of the Emperor guide your path.++
