After some consideration and input from DakkaDakka (mainly em_en_oh_pee) I figured out how to make an awesome fluffy and thematic list:
Did you notice that Cawl has the same base size as Ironstrider/Dragoon? With little conversion work to the normal Dragoon I intend to create my own Custom character with Cawl rules: Dragoon Commander Israfiel Cortake.
The list so far:
It will be my most expensive and insane army fielded ever (clocking at 21 Dragoon/Ironstrider boxes) but the theme and fluff will be in my opinion worth it, even if I will lose every game played against people with actual Troop choices on points or will be tabled by more killy lists. What do you think? Is it actually viable or am I raving lunatic?
Sounds fun. I build 5 dragoons and did not enjoy the painting and buiding of those models. They look great but a pain in the butt. Good luck with 21...
I'd lose the Jezzail, lance is superior in every way.
Oh man... this list looks miserable. I hated building and painting my trio of Dragoons. This would just be torture!
I don't think the Jezzails are worth it AND I think the Tasers look cooler too. Maybe scrap some to make room for a Neutronager! You don't have one of those and they are fun to paint (all glowy and stuff!). Might save you money and keep the misery of all the chickenwalkers to a minimum.
Glad my input actually inspired someone, btw.
VERY excited to see what custom conversion you dream up. That sounds like a fun challenge. I figure you could have a solar atomiser mounted like a Jezzail. Perhaps up-armor it a bit - like around the servitor and pilot. Leave off the censors and maybe up armor the legs? You could use a Ruststalker Princep head for the rider - that would be cool!
Finished my first Ironstrider today and have to say I don't know what you are talking about torture I really enjoyed the painting.

I didn't have points to give them all tasers. Had to cut some corners. Unfortunately there won't be any rider as I convert my chicken walkers and leave only servitor as Skitarii "rider" (he looks like he is merged with machine - wet dream of any Skitarius). Thought about giving my HQ Chicken Walker (AKA Rooster) a cape and some stripes to denote how important he is. Good idea with armoring him up - I have some leftovers from my Kataphron box, will look into it.
I also have a second list involving a Knight Paladin:
I've been a proponent of mechanized AdMech since June, and I think Dragoons fulfill an indispensable role in our armies; I don't think I have ever fielded fewer than four. That being said, I am not so sure of these lists.
You see, Dragoons and Ironstriders are meant to SUPPORT your army, not form its core--that role belongs to your artillery, which consists of Dunecrawlers and Kastelans.
Dragoons are mobile units intended to screen and skirmish. They prevent your opponent from Deep Striking too close to your artillery, buy time for your artillery to remove key threats to themselves from the board, tie up shooting units like Razorbacks, and grab objectives that have been softened up by your artillery.
Ballistarii are intended to harass the enemy by creating a massive and relatively cheap threat bubble with their guns. I have to say that they aren't the most necessary unit, but they do have their use in small numbers.
So, onto your lists.
Your Knight list is a bit confusing. A Paladin with Stormspear is probably the second worst of the Knight options for an army like this, since he's combining extremely long range (and expensive!) shooting with the most inflexible of the melee weapons. Remember: Feet > Gauntlet > Reaper in the vast majority of situations. I would recommend a Crusader with TC or a Warden with Gauntlet and Stormspear instead.
I don't think you should ever field Dragoons in a unit larger than 2; a unit of 1 might be vulnerable to first blood. Three gets stuck in tight quarters very easily; you can only pile-in two Dragons side-by-side.
I think you want more Crawlers. I personally favor 1:1 Neutron to Icarus. Icarus is surprisingly good against a variety of targets due to sheer volume of fire, and you do need the long-range can openers against other Imperium armies.
I don't want to include a Datasmith or Tech Priest-Dominus in my list as it breaks my theme in my opinion. It's more of a thematic list that's fun to play and play against as opposed to actually being good. I will take into consideration your input about Crusader Knight and Dragoons not being good in units of three though, it's vital input.
What would you think about flyers though? Sure I would lose canticles but could take some Valkyries with rocket to munch some infantry.

Basically, Dante is going to be advancing every turn and hiding behind the Stormravens. The Acolytes are the cheapest option (24 points) to fulfill the Vanguard requirements; they can use their Authority to embark/hide on the Stormravens. You can also take any Blood Angels if you want to make more use of Dante (probably recommended). They can just pop out of the Stormraven when needed. Death Company and Furioso Dreadnoughts are fun, as are simple Plasma Assault Squads (switch to Outrider).

Easiest way to not lose Canticles is to take Air wing Detachment. Thought about Nephilim Jetfighters or Flying Toaster (known as Stormtalon Gunship for some reason) and I'm leaning towards Flying Toasters.
This would be very fluffy and thematic (mostly Fast Attack choices supported by flyers? Yes please) while being more fun (more diversity) and actually uses all the points available.

They're Twin Assault Cannons. The mix of Twin Assault Cannon, Twin Heavy Bolter, 2x Hurricane Bolter, 2x Stormstrike Missile Launcher takes all comers. I mean, AdMech has access to Neutron Lasers, which are much stronger than Lascannons anyway.

I think he meant Autocannons on Ironstriders. I can take additional squad of 3 Lascannons instead of 4 Autocannons but I think I like the Autocannons better. It may not be as good in removing vehicles but can certainly do the job while being better at removing something like MEQ. I don't like putting all eggs in one basket (like coutning on Toasters to do the heavy lifting against infantry) one might say.
Ohhh. I can see it going either way. Lascannon Ballistarii have a problem in that Neutron Crawlers are always better and Autocannon Ballistarii are often worse than Icarus Crawlers. =\
