That buggers up my usual Facebook groups (and the oldhammer forum) for feedback, so here's the only WIP thread of this on the web...


I've always liked the old Marauder landsknecht style ogres... so...


There'll be 21 minis in the army, 2 units of 10 ogres with halberds, and a commander. All converted over standard GW ogres. This one's going to take a while but it's not to any timescale. I think it'll come out well.

First WIP for feedback/critique. I'm not a great sculptor so it's possibly a bit rough, but quite happy for a first crack at it. Still a few details to add (hat badge, pouches) and obviously his hand weapon.

Looks good so far. A Whw regular that I am acquainted with has a similar ogre army, looks great.

Did a new belt and pouches, built the banner and bent the hat feather. Gonna call this chap done and move on to a rank and file guy (much less conversion).

Seriously, I didn't realize that was greenstuffing til your second pic o.O very cool. Definitely going to be unique!!

Also, I have no idea if it fits, but as an upgrade(?) one or two of those gryph hounds would be cool I think, an almost mascot, or nobles out on a stroll type feel to it for the commander maybe.

Anyway just a thought! love to see more!
