This caught my attention at Gencon this year (Gencon 50) as im always on the lookout for new minis games. Saw the minis/art on the cards and was instantly interested. Over 3 days I talked to Brian and Chris about the game, how to play (got a demo), learned about the world and whats coming next and I was hooked. (Also helps I do cyber security for a living)

All said and done, I grabbed a starter box (really good value for 85$ plus gencon discount) and 1 Omni program for each and a small box expansion to add another avatar and units.

Built it Sunday night and played it Monday.

Good:
- Game flowed very easily and fast. Both players really engaged as little downtime.
- Good amounts of strategy on moving the tiles around.
- Minis quality is great. On par with new resin Dark age stuff and kind of a mix of FFGs imperial assault figs. (thin parts can bend so no worry on breaking!)
- While im usually not a big fan of special dice, these were cool and unique being d12s. Adds a lot more variations they can do with the game. Plus I enjoy the symbols!
- Great quality board tiles and mouse pad map. I do need to flatten it and grab a tube for it as it has fold lines in it from the starter but will be good in time.
- Rulebook flowed very nicely. For the trial mission I obviously had to use it a bunch going back and fourth but rules are clear and laid out very well

Bad:
- The slotted bases. After doing minis games for 12 years now, slotted bases are the worst. I get the reason why it was done, as the game needed square bases, but yikes do I hate slotted bases. If the slot part of the mini completely covered the hole, I guess I could use them, but as is I cut off the slot on the mini and glues them to the base. Will need to cover up the hole, or maybe buy bases that don't have the slot in them and rebase them all. If you guys read this, please move to the non slotted bases, even if your figs kept that part on them, its easily cut off (which I don't mind doing)

Wishlist:
Fixed bases
All effects on the cards. Such as "Lag". They made a Quick reference sheet. Just im used to Dark age with it on all the cards on what effects do.

Like I said, I really like the game and know ill be buying more (after the wallet recovers from gencon) and hope it play it more and get it painted up!

Anyone else own it? what are your thoughts? Seems like the game has a good future. 4 Factions now, with 2 more in the next year and another after that.

I kickstarted this game...and then played for the first time at Gen Con. 50.

I do like too. I don't love it. The scenario we played was cool with some interesting features in it.

I do like some of the mechanics, quirks and factions.

It just lacks a little wow factor to me for some reason, but I'm going to keep giving it some more tries and see if it continues to grow on me.

Glad you picked it up, they are a nice group of guys

I painted up a ton of the stuff from the starter and some extras.

Played 4 missions now. The intro and 3 actual missions. I ended up buying the rest of the two factions on their website and the two books for Ikaru and RezX.

A buddy of mine is at nova, and so is A8G, so I had him grab me the entire line for both of those factions.

All in all I probably spent 600$ now on the game but besides maybe a merc or two, I think I have all of it.

I feel its one of the more unique games for the theme of what ive played in a long time.

What doesent give you a wow factor? Just curious
