Hi guys,

Thought I would post a quick intro here that might give some context to my future ramblings in other threads.

Starting playing 40K in highschool and jumped to Fantasy for a few years.

A break for a few years and onto the 8th bandwagon.

Always been a casual gamer and more into the assembly/painting/ rule of cool side of things.

For this edition, I am making a 'themed' choice for two armies of different playstyle: Red Scorpions and the Oroborus Hive Tyranids.

The Space Marines will have no Primaris and the nids will be painted the cream/green of the Forgeworld fluff.

Most purchases are done and just assembling and test painting now with matching bases and war trophies to tie them together.

Cheers.

Welcome to DakkaDakka!

Sounds like some interesting armies. Be sure to pop them up on the P&M board sometime

Happy hunting!

Nice!
See I'm in the middle of a shift from my main faction being Tau to it being Death Guard, and Nids are always a nice hard second for me, with a good amount of Termagants, a hive tyrant and a few carnifex's laying around.
So I always have a soft spot for those kooky bugs.

Welcome to the site by the by! Y'all can call me Grumpy!

You going to upload any pictures of your miniatures by chance? Not a lot of people play Red Scorpians to my knowledge so I would be interested to see how you've painted them

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Welcome! If you're into the painting side of things, have a look in the Painting and Modeling forum. We have a monthly painting challenge that's a lot of fun and a great way to get feedback.

Cheers for the response guys.

I'll get some samples up when I get home from work into the Painting forum.

Really liking the fluff from the Anphelion Project so it made my choice easy as much for display as anything else.
