I have seen several posts in the swap shop about watching tv events. Mostly GoT so far but today I saw one for the big boxing fight on tonight. Every one has been a 'fresh faced user' so I'm not sure if there is something more Dakka can to and weed out these users.
I have reported everyone I see and I never click on the link.

Is marking one thread enough to get the user's other threads looked at, or is it better to mark every one of that user's threads?
I don't want to fill up the mod alerts list with spam tags if that is just as annoying.
So, mark once and leave it to get looked at, or mark everything by that same user?
And, should we put a post on there to say we've flagged it already, to save others from tagging it?
It'll shove the thread back up the list, for more people to see.
Its best not to post in those threads, as it just pushes them back up to the top of the forum, giving them even more exposure (which is exactly what they're trying to accomplish).
Just hit the 'notify moderator' button on them and that's it.
If there are multiple spam posts made by the same user, then you only really need to report 1 of them. However, sometimes they do spam a forum using multiple accounts, in which case alerting only one thread can result in the other threads (posted by other spam user accounts) from being missed for a while.
If you've got the time, the best policy to is to flag every spam thread you see. But like I said, if you notice multiple threads by the same user, then you only need to hit the alert on one of them.
Thanks so much!
