I love playing fantasy, I also like the aos lore and the models (yeah I know not everyone does) and for some time I've been working on rules to allow people to play the armies from sigmas in fantasy. Please bare In mind this is purely for fun and narrative games so the points probably ain't balanced correctly for any type of competitive game, feel free to use any of the rules I've done and change them if you wish.

Oh hey, that looks great!

You should give EEFL(eighth edition for life) a look, they work on putting AoS units into 8th edition among other things to keep it's spirit alive.

I've had a look, the storm cast rules look decent, slightly different to what I was working on but not bad

While the Fyreslayer list looks like a faithful traslation from AoS to 8th, it does not look like fun.

I think Total War did something right when they made Slayers fast. So given that, I think the base move of the Fyreslayers should be 4. Also they need a movement spell (rune) such as the Dwarves had in 7th edition (Rune of Oath and Honour) otherwise the army will just be a slow crawler, and any deviation from this play style will see the army flanked and run off the board.

I think 9th age left slayers just right.

M3, but can triple march. And they charge like cavalry (3D6 remove lowest) against monstrous stuff.

I have thought about the idea of triple march as a way to get around some of the movement limitations of Dwarves, but I come to the conclusion that Movement 3 is not worth preserving at the cost of adding it. Movement 4 pretty much does the same thing anyway.

Swiftstride against monstrous stuff is pretty cool though.

I know, wood elves where the only fantasy army I played till sigmar canebrake out, the rules I have made are to add in units that only came into existence since aos and to make them operate more like they do in the aos lore.

I understand adding in the war beetle, but why dryads? Just for completion's sake?

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I would stick to a wood elf army list and add new Sylvaneth elements as new options and special characters.

For instance Alarielle's beetle is just a flightless breathless dragon sized creature, so find one and port the rules in. Storm of Magic is useful here as there are plenty of creatures to compare to.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.
