As you may know the fantasy side of the Lexicanum as a lack of editors. This has lead it to become outdated, especially with the stream of releases from Age of Sigmar. We are now trying to recruit more editors to get it up-to-date and possibly future administrators to administer the wiki. We would like to invite you to register and start editing as soon as possible.

When registering make sure you write a short background of yourself. It doesn't need to be something complex, just from which country you are from and what you would like to contribute to the wiki.

Registering will have to be accepted by a bureaucrat, which might take a while since we at the fantasy english lexi only have one. However, I'll warn him to keep his eyes peeled. If you leave the option to receive mails from administrators we will send you an email tell you when your new account is accepted.

What we need is people with access to the Battletomes, Campaigns Books and Novels from Age of Sigmar so we can get it up-to-date. But if you don't have them and still want to contribute we could use some help by adding fluff from the warscrolls, products descriptions and photos/screenshots found on the internet as long as they are properly sourced.

Thanks for you attention!

Oh, good to see an effort's being made here to get that up-to-date.

Well certainly try to convince Shinros to help or use his AoS lore thread to fill-in your pages.

And I haven't checked yet but sending this call-out to the TGA forum is a must.

I'm definitely trying to get more people because doing this alone is impossible. Some people reacted to it but I haven't received any new posts.

I can't really use his lore threads because they are kinda sourceless, as we need to attribute a pagenumber or a chapter to specific bits of info. If photos and screenshots were provided that could help through. If he could edit himself that would be ideal.

I did send a call-out to TGA forums as can be seen here.

So far I don't know if this attempt to bring people in worked or not as I can't see if there are new proposals or if the bureaucrat hasn't accepted them yet.

Any help in spreading the word would be welcome!

I'll certainly spread the word to any other lore experts I talk to.

Here's wishing you the best of luck in finding volunteers to help out!

Thanks I will definitely need it, as any help, even those without the books, is needed.

I am no lore expert, but I have been enjoying reading up on Warhammer history (my Oldhammer T-Shirt just arrived in the mail yesterday). So I will investigate signing up.

I am going to register, I will try to help out. I am not a great writer but I will try to do what I can.

edit:Even looking at the pestelins page right now, I can think of some clear additions from the battle tome that can be added to the page. Especially what their main objective is in the mortal realms.

Thanks! I think you might get your sign-up accepted on monday. Either way I'll send a pm to the bureaucrat now to see if he can get you early.

Also thanks for reminding me that I needed to move the Clans Pestilens page to Skaven Pestilens because GW changed their name.

The Buereacrat has returned and has accepted two new accounts with the name Shinros and [url=http://whfb.lexicanum.com/wiki/User:Viktor]Viktor[url].

I assume this is both of you? Either way thanks for joining and hope to see your future contributions.

From what I understand offering your real name is completely optional, but while registering your account doesn't tell you that. You should try again and just leave that option blank. Either way I'll ask if it's necessary.

I asked and was told that you can ignore the real name part. So there shouldn't be any obstacles to you joining the lexicanum.

Just one question, how do you create new pages?

I guess it's weird there isn't a button for that.

You can create a new page by inserting the Article name in the searching function, which will give you a message like this, using the word Megaboss as an example:

There were no results matching the query.

Create the page "Megaboss" on this wiki!

Create the page "Megaboss" on this wiki! See also the search results found.

The "Megaboss" should be red. If you click it it will open "create an article" function for the article "Megaboss".

You can also do it by replacing the word Megaboss in the following link (http://whfb.lexicanum.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=Megaboss&action=edit&redlink=1) with the name of the article you want to create.

I hope I explained it clearly.

I've also prepared a sort of guide of what we need to get Age of Sigmar up-to-date on the following page. I'll keep updating the list.

EDIT: If you make a mistake while naming the article don't fret. I can easily move it to a more correct name.

Unfortunately there seems to be a problem with email system of the fantasy lexicanum that isn't sending emails. I became aware of it yesterday and warned the bureaucrat which he said he would get the programmers to fix it. I don't know how long it will take to fix this problem, but I don't expect it to take too long.

I'm kinda annoyed that this happened when I started a recruitment drive, through I suspect this was due to a hacking a few weeks back.

Are you the User:Viktor? If so I can see that your account has been created.

A few weeks ago by script kiddies apparently. They posted some annoying meme music and told them to get better security while simultaneously telling them not to eliminate their backdoor into it.

Anyway I was told the emailing system is now working, so you guys that tried to make an account should try to get in. If you didn't receive your passwords try to use the "forgot your password" option in the log-in menu.

If that doesn't work or is there any other problem, tell me and I will try to fix it or tell the appropriate people to fix it..

Glad to see that someone cares. Recently visited the AoS section and was bummed that there was so little.

Don't know how good I'd be at it but I might be able to enlist aid from a local gaming club

Honestly any help would be good, but I still can't get in contact with one of the bureacrats and despite last time he told me it was fixed, the emails from lexi still won't work for me. And because of that i'm still not sure if anybody can actually receive their passwords through mail or not, so signing up might not work.

Okay it seems like everything is working now, so anybody that wanted to join can do so now. Be careful because the confirmation mails might end up in the junk or spam folder.

Because of the problems the lexi had I used the "forgot your password" function to send the password to last few people that registered since august but didn't do an edit.

I would be very grateful if a third party could confirm to me that everything is working correctly.

If anybody wants to try and do some edits, you should request an account now, since i'm now a bureacrat and can accept new account requests.

We're also going to redesign the "request account" function to be less intrusive than it was but it will take a while. If you want you can leave a lot of info blank for now.
