So I'm a beginner to warhammer, I know a bit about the lore
I know primarch guilliman was ressurected (by eldar) and created the primaris
And that chaos is going mental on the imperium with primarch mortarion and the death guard

But have the orks done anything big recently in lore?
The only real thing I know is the 2nd war for Armageddon and that ghazghull is currently... Messing up someones day... Somewhere.. because ghazghull

Ghazzy''s story advanced. He left the 3rd Armageddon War in its ongoing state of attrition with Yarrick and Helbrecht hot on his heels. Before getting caught Ghazzy''s Weird Boyz all spoke in unison as Gork and More declared Ghazzy their chosen and to lead the Great Waaagh!. His task is to create a handful of huge wars of attrition similar to Armageddon and bring Waaagh! energy high enough for Gork and Mork to tear themselves out of the Warp, unite the Orks and begin the Ragnorork.

He then proceeds to gather more Orks on his journey to Octaria which was an ork world besieged by tyranids (same ones from Kryptmann''s Gambit). Ghazzy and his Orks wipe out the Nids and Ghazzy solo killed a Mawloc because he's a very 'ard pill to swallow. Orks still pour in by the billions, weird boys heads get overloaded and a massive galactic wide psykic ping is released. More Nids come, attracted by the ping, a new war of attrition begins as Ghazzy makes plans to do it again somewhere.

200 yrs later it's Age of Girlyman, the Warp seems to be already ripped open. No idea what Ghazzy has done for 200 yrs but considering how much noise he made in just 57 yrs I'd wager he gets killed off or some retcon occurs. His Great Waaagh! seems unecessary if the barrier between the Warp and reality is torn. But even if his task is needed to get Gork and Mork outside the rift, that all began 200 yrs ago. I know they described Armageddon as a perpetual war of attrition as both Imperials and Orks pour in constantly but 200 yrs? Until we get the 8th edition codex we won't know.

Last known abilities and traits. Should be bigger from winning against Nids and mawloc, able to sense large concentrations of Orks across galactic distances, able to see, hear and speak to Orks instantly in real time across galactic distances, will get yanked away from imminent death by the two gods, was just told at the end of his story, by Orkimedes, that the tellyporta tek was almost perfected enough to tellyporta Orks across vast galactic distances in the blink of an eye.

As for Orks in general. Only thing I saw mentioned was that the imperial's and Orks stop fighting each other and are fighting demons. If Snikrot is alive from fighting for 2 centuries he shold be a pretty huge warboss by now. Who knows what they will put in the codex.
