How do?

I've got an idea for a Vampire game that I want to run with my mates. But being all growed up, we often face the tribulations of Real Life interfering. People are too knackered from work, might be feeling a bit under the weather, may not be able to get childcare etc.

So I've been thinking about running it via Skyp or similar video chat. Now that's a technology I'm utterly ignorant of, so I've no idea which might suit.

If anyone is up on those, and even better, has tried what I'm considering, I'm all ears!

(Currently thinking it's a good back up option if peeps can't make the location)

Skype works pretty well; I've played over it.

You probably want something to have visual references easier, something like Tabletop Simulator or Fantasy Grounds.

Curse might work for voice chat too, it has a couple of features Skype doesn't, but I've only used it like twice.

Can you even see Vampires over video? I mean, they cast no reflection so can video pick them up?

..... oh wait, this thread is about somethign else?

Carry on.

Tsk!

Not all my players are especially keen, but they can see the appeal for sessions where one doesn't have the time. Quick half hour to advance plot is better than letting the pace slacken completely.
