Hello there, i hope this is the correct place to post this.

As i said in my introduction i'm a veteran of sorts, i stopped playing in mid 5th edition of W40k and i am interested again in the last few months. I don't know very much of the situation of the hobby and etc. in these days.
So, I am a bit "lost" right now and would like to buy some of the new GW miniatures (awesome new Thousand sons ), but i see the prices in England are cheaper than those in Euros. (And € prices are really expensive...). I am from Spain, and years ago i remember some UK discount online stores that offered very good prices with discounts over the retail price.

I would like to know if there are still one or more online stores in the UK or the EU with a decent discount and with reasonable shipping prices (and time) to the rest of EU. If somebody can tell me about them and their experiences with them and which ones would be good places to buy i would be very grateful

Additionaly, i would like to know if there are any stores which offer "bits", pieces of miniatures to buy separately, again with reasonable prices and shipping cost to the EU.

I hope im not asking too much, thanks in advance

Excuse my bad english!

http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/ are pretty decent shipping times to continental EU, http://elementgames.co.uk/ arent bad either, but personally I've only had experience with wayland.

I've ordered from elementgames.co.uk 2 times this summer and they were great. Saved around 20% from the prices on the swedish GW website and they sent the items the day after I ordered so with lazy swedish postservices I had the items in my hand like 5 days after order. The shipping was around 7 euro I think so just do some research for what you want and make a decent size on the order to make it worth.

I ordered from wayland a couple years ago but that took a couple of weeks to get here. Might be due to items being out of stock tho so cant say how they are now.

Most UK sites seem to be around 10-25% of GW prices so just google around more if you want more feedback.

I have bought from Element Games as well (shipping all the way to the US!) and they were just excellent

Waylandgames are good if they have what you want in stock. If they don't have it, avoid to buy from them.

If something isn't in stock in Waylandgames, buy from Element Games, is the only UK store I have found that doesn't have insane shipping prices that kill the extra discount you get from the direct pound-euro conversion.

To buy from spain, BanduaWargames, E-minis and Goblintrader are the best ones.

To buy bitz:

Thanks for your replies!

After reading your messages i've done a bit of research on my own (yes i asked here first, i'm that lazy ):

- Element games seems really good store, but their prices are a little bit higher than other stores.

- From Wayland games it seems to be a lot of mixed opinions, i had planned to do a big order to have the stuff relatively soon to start doing things, and Wayland seems to have many problems with delivery times, i don't want to be waiting weeks or months...

I've found some more stores that seems pretty decent; Dark Sphere, this one have a greater discount than Wayland, but i cannot find the shipping cost, anyone here have experiences with them?

Goblin Gaming have very good reviews, but again, if someone here have experiences with them it would be great to know it.

Finally, Triple Helix Wargames have really good discounts, but they have very mixed reviews and i don't want to risk a big order like that.

@Galas, thanks for your reply, i order often from e-minis, i never really stopped buying novels and other models from time to time, but to buy many GW boxes the difference of prices is too step for me, i guess it's this is not new for you.

Thanks again

I've had positive experiences with triple helix with both fairly large and small orders within the UK.

I'd give thumbs up to Element and Darksphere

Wayland, not so much, its not a bad store but the website stock levels often dont actually match stock on hand, I've had this happen a fair bit and whilst the CS minions are helpful I got the impression its a fairly common issue for them

This are the basic postage cost from Dark Sphere for a random item (The Death Guard Codex). They don't offer free shipping no matter how big your order is.

Spoiler:

The postage costs of Goblin Gaming are high too, but they offer free 24h shipping for orders bigger than 75 pounds, so they appear to be a good option if you want something big enough:
Spoiler:

Triple Helix Games has too high shipping cost and they don't offer any free shipping offer.
Spoiler:

So, for me at least, Element Games is the best option if you want to buy things for under 75 pounds, and Goblin Gaming for orders over 75 pounds.

Ordering within the UK

I've used Element games a fair bit with no hassle , and Darksphere and Troll Trader (usually via ebay but they have their own online store too) occasionally with no problem too

I have not had any personal problems with Wayland games and they stock a bunch of stuff other places don't which I get there

but do know those who have (even after the improved stock control system came in) and that's usually been with complex orders for lots of different things where an item has ended up out of stock and delayed things,

this wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me anyway as I rarely have to have anything immediately, but if you do it's worth keeping in mind

Wow, many thanks to make the effort to search that for me, really thank you. You are right with the shipping cost, specially those from Dark Sphere are insane. I remember years ago i bought things from UK and the standard shipping cost was somewhere between 3 and 8 pounds depending on the items.

Within UK it would be different, but as i'm ordering from Spain, the international shipping cost has to be had in account, and those prices are very expensives.

I think i will try Element games, as it seems to be the most praised store here.

Thanks to all again!

http://alchemistsworkshops.com/ are really good as well, I've bought a few things for cheaper than both Wayland and Element in terms of Games Workshop.

If you're after a large(ish) order then it might help you as the international delivery is £15ish

Hello there!

Finally I've ordered from Alchemist Workshop and i really have to recommend them, with some items out of stock, they got them in 3 days and then i received it in about a week after they shipped the order. Very fast, reliable and with some free haribo bears

The price i've found is the most cheap ordering from Spain, shipping cost is a flat rate of 15 pounds as you said, so ordering many things as i did is actually cheaper than Element or Wayland.

I will buy from them again, that's for sure, and if someone is hesitating like me, i recommend them again.

Cheers
