I play Death Guard in both 30k and now in 40k, but with the release of these new Deathshroud models I must say that I am underwhelmed at best. I like the rules for both them and Typhus but detest the GW models. That being said, I do own both the Calas Typhon model and some Deathshroud from FW and absolutely love them. Would it be acceptable to use those models instead of the GW ones? What would you personally accept in a game?

The only issue I can think of it size, since apparently the 40k deathshroud models are larger by not so insignificant amount. So some players might not like the fact that say a wall which completely obscures your 30k deathshrouds might not completely cover the 40k versions. This could be construed as modeling for advantage I suppose, really depends on your opponents.

“Victory is not an abstract concept, it is the equation that sits at the heart of strategy. Victory is the will to expend lives and munitions in attack, overmatching the defenders’reserves of manpower and ordnance. As long as my Iron Warriors are willing to pay any price in pursuit of victory, we shall never be defeated.” - The Primarch Perturabo, Master of the Iron Warriors

I've not met anyone who would complain in a casual game.
FW terminators are actually cheaper per model than the new monopose plastics.
