I know they will add an FAQ.
But which way will they go ?

Will they say no wings for Death Guard daemon prince ?
The GW Death Guard model does not have wings ?

You're asking YMDC to guess what the writers will do?

Well there's fluff in the codex for winged princes.. but there's also fluff for super plague marine possessed, and that didn't translate into rules.

I would guess probably wings will be included. But they did cut the warp bolter:(

Yes thats what I'm asking

I thought maybe someone would know the procedure , they are only producing rules for models they sell ? So do they sell and Nurgle demon prince with wings was my real question I guess.

Since there is a model for Nurgle Daemon Prince and that model does not have wings, I assume there will never be a datasheet for one with wings. GW has only been selling the model for it since 2004, which is very young compared to the rest of the range.

You can always use the profile from the Codex. I understand this would mean losing access to Disgustingly Resilient and a few other benefits.

Maybe the real YMDC question is, if someone is using an Index datasheet, does that mean the model still have access to psychic powers from the Codex? I would assume so, but every issue with Keywords seems so complicated right now.

I'm confused?

The Codex states that a Daemon Prince of Nurgle can have Wings. You don't need to use the Index datasheet.

However, they didn't print a points cost for that option, so you have to assume that it should cost the same as any other DP with Wings.

So, until they change it in an FAQ one way or the other, you can give a DP of Nurgle Wings.

Ah. I don't have a copy of the Codex, so forgive me for misreading the earlier post. I took this to mean there was no datasheet.

They did th same for the iBook version of the dp - took out the smart link showing the wings price, but at least left the cost in the summary

It'll be 170'base in an errata, as a best guess, and I'd play it as that myself.

Love how the fluff description even says some DP use noxious gasses to lift them up in the air.

Model it! Appropriately placed and shaped cotton balls painted in noxious colors.

Skip the wings and use the rotors from a drone.

I think they will FAQ the points in and keep the option for wings. The datasheet for the DG Daemon Prince isn't a straight copy/paste as they removed the option for Warp Bolter as well - so some conscious effort went into the datasheet.

The Daemon Prince kit has wings so it makes sense to leave the option in. Either way, we won't know until the inevitable FAQ which shouldn't be too far away.

"Courage and Honour. I hear you murmur these words in the mist, in their wake I hear your hearts beat harder with false conviction seeking to convince yourselves that a brave death has meaning.
There is no courage to be found here my nephews, no honour to be had. Your souls will join the trillion others in the mist shrieking uselessly to eternity, weeping for the empire you could not save.

To the unfaithful, I bring holy plagues ripe with enlightenment. To the devout, I bring the blessing of immortality through the kiss of sacred rot.
And to you, new-born sons of Gulliman, to you flesh crafted puppets of a failing Imperium I bring the holiest gift of all.... Silence."

Ok thanks guys , I have one Prince built and painted without wings and I have 2nd unbuilt , but hopefully when the FAQ comes out I can start on his wings/bloat drone motor conversion , or something interesting.

I have another question - I see FW put back the Nurgle Daemon prince with that bio-mechanic herald.
Are there GW or FW rules for that cannon the big fat guy is wielding?

Generic characters disappearing? Elite units of your army losing options and customizations? No longer finding that motivation to convert?

He exists in the FW Chaos Index. Mamon is the name I think.

Thanks. I find fascinating the bio-mechanic elements in the Daemons, it evokes stuff like Doom.

Mamon is the large Daemon Prince. Dunno if the Herald has an entry (wasn't paying attention and don't have access to my index atm)

However I think Mamon lacks the <LEGION> Keyword so you may lose out on the "Legion Tactics" unless you throw him into another detachment. I could be wrong though, but I remember this was something notable I saw about him (or really any of the Daemon princes from the FW Chaos Index).

The herald never had rules unfortunately.
