Well, after selling off all my Khador stuff, I am tempted to make a Rhulic army. I haven't played a game of Mk3 yet, but was wondeing how the Rhulfolk are holding up as a faction. Is a pure Dwarf army viable? Always loved the look of them and figured it might be a great way to jump into this edition.

It's purely anecdotal, but a friend of mine runs Rhul (25 point games) and has been handing me my ass no matter what I do. I'd say they're viable, personally.

Chaos Space Marines - "The Sin-Eaters"
Dark Angels - "Nemeses Errant"

Some guys in my local meta were running dwarves (or all dwarves bar 1-2 solos) at the start of mk 3 and seemed to be doing well with them yeah

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Ossrum is a very strong caster. The battle engines ability to bring back reinforcements and to negate stealth for a single model means you have all the tools in faction you need. Only weakness is lack of magical attacks. As a dedicated mercenary player, I can attest to the viability of the Rhulic folk.

Ossrum is top of the heap for Mercs certainly and runs a terrific army. The other two are fun, interesting and fairly competitive casters as well, though Durgen is going to be much happier when he becomes available in a non Rhulic theme.

A proper, cohesive Rhulic army is Ossrums show though. Some mortar teams, a battle engine, a unit of hammer dwarves, a couple drillers and a half dozen gun bunnies is a pretty awesome little army.

Cool, thanks for the info guys! Been really tempted to offload one of my extra 40k armies and come back to the Iron Kingdoms.

For me the last year has been about reducing extra armies and trying different games instead. It's been a really nice change.
