How do?

So, Undead. For the moment, ruleswise, we're kind of the unloved middle child of the Factions. To date, we've got Flesh Eater Courts, and that's all.

Now don't get me wrong, Flesh Eater Courts as a concept are really very cool. And I have no beef with that book. But we're definitely lagging behind in terms of new factions.

But then, we kind of have the opposite when it comes to cheapo boxed sets. Look at them, really look at them....

There's three Start Collecting sets...

Each of these offers significant saving on buying the bits separately. And there's very little there I'd consider to be undesirable in the long run.

Then we've got the other cheap boxed sets. Now I've not worked out the savings on these ones, but they're definitely cheaper than buying separately.

Between those six sets, you can build a variety of Undead armies, helped along the way by the dual nature of stuff like the Hexwraiths - they can freely be built as Black Knights.

So how come we get so much model love (not complaining!) when it seems we can whistle of Battle Tomes?

Come on GW, catch up with the books already. Or I'll cry.

There is this undead event upcoming, with 4 new heroes (1 for each alliance), which is death-themed. Shadespire features a Death team.
2018 has a Death release planned (read that somewhere). We're in year 3 of AoS, serving to every alliance takes time.

It does indeed take time....but Death has been sidelined somewhat :(

What ever happened to the patience of the grave? :-p

It could be that the model makers haven't come up with any ideas for new death factions that they fell in love with? I would like to see something on the mortal followers of Nagash personally.

Well, background wise it's made clear that Nagash is very interested in what makes Stormcast tick...and he's got on one hand to find out.

Essentially, he sees whatever it is exactly that's been done to them to be close to Necromancy - though corrupted/purified is a matter of opinion.

But even so. Necromancers leading Skellingtons is a second book, right?

If they do a skelly book then I hope they put in Ork, Dwarf, Elf etc skeletons with models. It made some sense before when the vampires ruled a province of the Empire, but now there is no reason not to have skeleton diversity!

In fact, making an Ork or a Dwarf Necromancer sounds like a fun conversion idea.

Where other alliances are an amalgamation of armies for WHFB, Death is literally vampire counts. We have had no new models since AOS ended and its really sad.
