Could a list like this work or should this shtick be left to the Deathwing?

Idea would be to deepstrike the melta termies to destroy some vehicles or kill some monsters. Deepstrike one of the combi-plasma termies to take out some elite unit.

Keep the rest of the army in a bubble from the blight-haulers making -1 ap weaponry useless for the enemy since everything will be in permanent cover.

Typhus and the prince will be throwing out buffs to the termie squads or themselves as need be.

Blight-haulers and Helbrutes will be shooting at tough targets the whole game.

well i like the list, with the changes to combi weapons i feel like this list has way more versatility. Also if im reading the codex correctly i think you will be getting rapid fire with all of them at 18 as well.

I do wonder why you have typhus over a malignant plaguecaster or a lord of contagion though. Is it because he has terminator armor and is a psyker?

overall i like it though, but as with all termie lists you will have issues against horde armies,

Yeah, termi and caster are the reasons.
