Hi everyone!

A friend and me will attend a tournament in November with a two-army-list. I play nids and he plays Chaos Worldeaters. Both of us is pretty new players, diving in to the magic world of WH40K. According to the tournament rules, we can take 1200pts worth of armies each and split 100pts as we please.

Scroll down to see the army-lists. The idea is that Chaos is a little more shooty and the nids just stream across till table trying to hold up the enemy as long as possible. The forgefiend and the hellbrutes lay down fire on the big targets and the rhinos and berzerkes tries to cap objektives on the way. The termagaunts and cultitst bubblewrap and swarmy and flyrant tries to get forward, protectect (at least for a while) by the malenthrope. Swarmy uses his Hive commander on the stealers and the hormogaunts spring up with the trygon to get first turn charge.

What do you think? Changes, ideas, tips and trix? We´re pretty new at this so...

Hi,
I think this has some potential tbh, as a khorne player (and a dabbler in tyranids) i can see that they have potential to compliment each other.
I assume your putting gaunts in with the trygon and swarmy is there to push the genestealers up first turn, which will be great as it will dostract the opponent from targeting any of the hard hitting chaos stuff or the rhinos with the zerkers, who can counter turn 2 and support the first turn charges where necessary, or even target some dreads or equiv with their s5/6 attacks.
Make sure to keep the malenthrope with the tyrant and possibly with the shooty gaunts to make them a bit tougher to take out, and be wary when setting up to make sure you keep the 9" covered to avoid any units dropping in your back lines. Personally im not sold on the forgefiend but i can see its potential, i just prefer to use predators as for me the extra las comes in handy against certain armies
Looks good overall though, pretty strong
Be very interested to see how it goes!

Thank u! And yes the hormagaunts goes in to the tunnel. With the 6" consolidate AND pile in they fill the role of holding up tanks and other heavy stuff. The malenthrope will play a key role, protecting everything for sure.

Hmm, yeah maybe the forgfiend can be switched out... Gonna ask him Don´t know alot about chaos unfortunately but a tank might be a better choice.

For sure, I will update how it goes.
