What sort of stuff works well for this?

I'm wanting to add a shower of spent casings from a Butcher Cannon, ideally I'd use 3/64 poly tubing but I'm not finding an easy UK supplier.

Evergreen does round plastic rod of that thickness plenty of places stock that, and cut down it would work fine.

Otherwise If you want them to be hollow at that scale you'll have to use brass or aluminium, my go-to manufacturer is K&S, again quite a few places stock this.

That said you could drill a little into the plastic rod cylinders a little if you are careful using a small ( smaller than 0.5mm) drill bit

BULLETS Textured Stamp RUBBER MOLD from Green Stuff World is the seller.

Seen this on ebay a few weeks ago. Pretty simple idea really. Could be just what you are looking for.

If you do anything with GS then you can get an unlimited supply of she'll casings any time you use it. Any leftovers, roll into a sausage at the end of the session, wait for it to dry and cut to length. Vary the calibre by varying the thickness of sausage.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

How big are you looking for? Because there's a bit GW already do with the Ork Big Shoota.

I used fishing line of the appropriate thickness. Super cheap, cut to length and pain the color you desire. Some pictures of how I used them on some of my Rorke's Drift terrain here:

Due to Photobucket being Photobucket I cannot embed the pictures...

The flying spent shell casings are what I want to make.

These suggestions for non-plastic solutions aren't appealing to me, as they'll never stay put in a dynamic arc.

I think I'll get some plastic rod and cut it into pieces & drill the ends.
