Any modelling talents here that tried to build a foul blightspawn or the biologus putrifier out of the dark imperium box plague marines? would love to see some pics for inspiration

Not what I was looking for but still great. Anyone got some links for blightspawn and putrifier? :-)

I've been hunting down all the DI conversions I can find but I haven't seen someone attempt either of those yet. The Foul Blightspawn would be easy with a Plaguespitter, and the Putrifier could be done with some of the chaos terminator trophy racks with grenades or spheres tacked on to them. They are both really cool models the way they come, though, so even though it would be fun to try to convert some I bought one of each.

Well is there a thread where you show those DI conversions? Would love to see them.
Also, there is this grenade chugging Plague Marine in the DI box, I think it is even the same scult as the foul blightspawn so the big challenge is his backpack and his other weapon.

The new Plague Marines box has a Heavy Plaguespewer with a backpack that would work really well for a Blightspawn. If you put it on the model you are talking about you would be pretty close, except for the head.

I have taken this as a challenge. Disclaimer I have not got a copy of Dark Imperium (yet) so these will be theoretical.
So far for the Foul Blightspawn I have:
1) Use this Model:


2) Disregard this arm:


3) Add a nice skull here:

4) Now take your flamer template from 7th

and butcher it so you get this:


5) Chop of the right vent and dryfit this part, DO NOT GLUE


6) Glue this arm from the Malignant Plaguecaster on:

like so:


7) green stuff a vat on the back using the template piece as reference for the pane. Also, greenstuff a tube to the bell, this makes the hose.

8) Drill out the clapper in the bell

9) Paint model

10) super glue flamer template pane.

No I haven't. I will when I get Dark Imperium. I have yet to think of a way to make the Biologis Putrifier though.

Just buy a resin bit which is a large backpack w/ a tank on it..and then paint him slightly different and state he's a Biology Professor.
