"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks
I've been spending a lot of time recently grinding through World of Warcraft again, so I've needed something enthusiastic-sounding and, well, a few friends managed to somehow introduce me to Eurobeat... So it's mainly playlists like this:
Other times, though, I tend to focus on one band at a time and jump between them as I feel like it. The more recent two being Foo Fighters, and Serenity.
Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

If anyone remembers Anathema as 1/3rd of the Unholy Trinity, all tortured growls and histrionic heavy metal, forget it. The brothers grew up and now play some of the most beautifully atmospheric music around.

Okay, so. I feel like this is a safe space. Judgement free zone, if you will. I don't like metal really. (HA! You knew something was off about me!) I feel like I am going to be in the minority of this thread, so I am just going to be open about it. Here you go.
Well since after 7 years of wait this CD actually came been listening it for a while. Could have sworn it would never see light of day after such long gap and composer in his 60's. Still worried he won't finish last cd's in time(49 songs in collection so far, 88 is goal...That's still 4, 5 more cd's to compose to get target number completed)
The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I've been making my daughter listen to a bunch of Gordon Lightfoot as calming music. I don't particularly care for it, but maybe she'll grow up a fan. I do like
