Okay guys. How in the nine hells am I supposed to assemble this thing? Google and youtube aren't turning up squat. Anyone have a step by step?

If there's no instructions its down to looking up images of the real gun online and working from there. You may need to jam the odd piece on, or find that certain smaller parts don't fit quite right, but well that's the same across all of Warlord's artillery pieces.

I figured it out, used photos for ref. Also, is the 50mm x 100mm the standard for basing?

I use Games Workshop large oval bases. There is no standard. Either stick the gun on its own base and have separate crew, or a single base with the crew. As far as the rules are concerned the crew are on separate bases. I stick with those GW ones in particular as they're not too massive as to not fit in most terrain.

So I made my base on my own from Balsa. the base is about 3in X 6in as more of a Diorama piece. I am not glueing the gun and crew down so I can also use the base as terrain. Thoughts?

That's fine as it is. People make whole dioramas out of their bases, though I tend to leave them fairly bare (barring the crew equipment, crates etc) so they don't stick out when in terrain.
