A guide on how to make tyranid/alien eggs quickly and easily.
You will need
-peanut shells
-PVA glue
-Paint
I've also added some sand, but you can use any other basing material you like.
Step one - open and eat the peanuts
Step two - glue them on to the base
Step three - add more PVA glue around the peanut shells, otherwise they won't stick
Step four - paint everything
A good paintjob can add a great deal of life to the eggs. That said I didn't paint these ones all too great because I don't play tyranids and I was just looking to give you some inspiration.

agh those are brilliant, now I know what I'm going to do for my tyranid objective markers. I've already got swarms of ripper grubs I've made out of piles of painted jasmine rice. lets see what other food items can I incorporate?

Not exactly a food item, but I'm working on a Zeppelin made from plastic bottles right now.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one using peanut shells to make terrain. I use mine as fungus though.

Instead of PVA you might use the glue from a hot glue gun. Often it is thicker, easier to get around the 'egg' bases in larger quantity. Go deep enough with the peanut shells into the glue layer, and they might appear to be buried into the ground somewhat, and you can more easily disguise any rough edges.

Other than that, very nice idea.

Of course, make as many adjustments/improvements as you like.
