I'm relatively new to 40k, but I do have most of the rules down. I'm working on a 2k point army and want to add either an Imperial Knight or one of the Baneblades to the army. Would this be a good idea to do, and if so, what would be recommended?

Welcome to Dakka!

Your question seems more suitable for the 40k Tactics subforum though. I would be glad to help you, but know nothing about those models (or the army!) sadly.

not so crazy. Imperial Knights and Blood Angels both fight for the Imperium of Man, so you can do it.

The way it works is you're going to have two detatchments in your army - say a Battallion Detachment for your Blood Angels, with ~ 1500 points of models. You'll pick an HQ here to be your Warlord.

Then you have an Allied Detatchment in the Lords of War category, and that's where you plonk your Knight/Titan/Baneblade down.

For more on how Detatchments work, see this page

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
