Cultist 147 has been slack in displaying the offerings!

What is Von Unaussprechlichen Kulten?

Von Unaussprechlichen Kulten (…or Kulten…or VUK for short) is an horrific, violent and often disturbingly amusing cult battle and management game in which players create cults and clash amongst each other for the favour of their gods; ancient, evil and tenebrous though they may be…

Cultists. Who can run a cult without ‘em? Find here a plethora of semi-competent underlings armed in an assortment of violent and dangerous ways. Usable as an Arcane Seekers cult and indeed in all cults, don’t be found gaming without these 10 multipurpose (and murderous) minions…some of which are Kickstarter exclusives, never to be offered again!

Sculpted by Kyla Richards, based on the artwork of Toren Atkinson. You get these 10 single part resin figures: Cult Leader, KS Exclusive Midget High Priest, KS Exclusive High Priestess and Cultists armed with Pistol, Knife, Wrecking Hammer, Bolt-Action Rifle, Shotgun, Axe and Tommy Gun.

If you like unsettling rubberiness and are a fan of clandestine midnight corpse feasts, then this cult is for you! Behold the imposing Ghoul King and his twisted ilk, their ranks bolstered by ever hungry swarms of graveyard vermin. This is our first time using both resin and metal components and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

Ghouls sculpted by Bob Murch, based on the artwork of Nick Gucker, Rats sculpted by Kyla Richards, based on actual rats. These figures are produced in resin with an assortment of metal parts for endless customization. Don’t endure the pain of being without: Ghoul King, 4 Ghouls, 6 Rat Swarms and 12 arms including open right and left hand, holding shotgun, torch, cleaver and bow.

What happens in the cemetery stays in the cemetery…especially if you have the witnesses for supper. Get up to no good in the worst possible ways when you add these debauched scumbags to your Cult de Ghouls.

Ghouls sculpted by Bob Murch, based on the artwork of Nick Gucker. Witch, rats, familiars and cauldron sculpted by Kyla Richards. These figures are produced in resin with an assortment of metal parts for endless customization. Shipped in a nondescript parcel you will receive: 2 Ghouls with 6 arms (one of each type), 3 Rat Swarms, Witch, 3 Familiars and Cauldron.

Our best selling boxed set from Strange Aeons hops and flops irregularly into Von Unaussprechlichen Kulten. If you didn’t already buy these, you should! Remember, easily swayed friends: fishy and popular!

Deep One sculpted by Iain Colwell, based on the artwork of Toren Atkinson. Fishmen and Hybrids sculpted by Kyla Richards, based on the artwork of Riley Rossmo. You get the gigantic, multi-part Deep One and KS Exclusive Submerged Deep One as well as these 8 single part resin figures: Fishman Demagogue, 4 unique Fishmen and 3 unique Hybrids.

If you feel the world needs more rancorous and cantankerous then here you go. This Strange Aeons box surfaces for re-life in Kulten. All sorts of zombie-ized stuff, just perfect for a starting Death Cult!

All models sculpted by Kyla Richards, graves sculpted by Uncle Mike. You will receive these resin models: Mad Scientist and Henchman, 3 unique Zombies, 2 unique Zombie Dogs, Blasphemous Construct, Restless Spirit, 2 unique out of print Ghouls (the new ones are way meaner…) as well as Crypt and Chained Coffin and 9 unique Grave Markers.

Serpent Worshippers are all about casting spells and summoning Daemons. What luck that this Strange Aeons box makes a good starting point for those slithery sorts among you.

All models sculpted by Kyla Richards and cast in resin. Watch out! You get Serpentman Demagogue, 2 Serpentmen, 2 unique captives, 2 unique Scrawny Ones, 3 Monstrous Tentacles and Servitor (not shown) as well as 3 Summoning Pentacles and an Eldritch Obelisk.

The Autumnal moon is bright and so, the time is right for a quick howl…or bite! Throughout time, people have written awful poems and terrible children’s songs about wolves, now you can sing those to yourself as you lead a cult of these Lupine lovelies.

Werewolf and Wolfmen sculpted by Kyla Richards, based on the artwork of Nat Jones. Wolves and Transmogrified Humans sculpted by Kyla Richards. You get the gigantic, multi-part Werewolf as well as these 6 single part resin figures: Wolfman, Wolfwoman, Transmogrified Human Female, Transmogrified Human Male and 2 Wolves.

Once you start infecting your opponent’s cults with Lycanthropy you will need a few more Wolfmen and Wolfwomen to thicken up your pack. Also included are two Wolves and two Transmogrified Humans. Sink your teeth into the value!

Wolfmen sculpted by Kyla Richards, based on the artwork of Nat Jones. Wolves and Transmogrified Humans sculpted by Kyla Richards. You get these 6 single part resin figures: Wolfman, Wolfwoman, Transmogrified Human Male, Transmogrified Human Female and 2 Wolves.

Join The Cult Of The Black Goat, the official fan club of all Uncle Mikes Worldwide games and receive horrifying value!

· A stylish Black Goat t-shirt (in black, of course!). Available in S,M,L,XL,2X,or 6X.

· A sturdy plastic Cult membership card, emblazoned with your unique ID number.

· Twice annual (on each Equinox) PDF newsletter, featuring experimental rules, product previews, and other strange happenings from Uncle Mike's secret subterranean laboratory. You'll also be able to download back-issues of all previous newsletters immediately upon purchase.

· A new exclusive miniature each year (released each March 21st), included with your initial Cultist package on purchase, and with your first non-PDF UMW Webstore order in following years.

There are 6 different cults currently planned for the game (the cultists are multi-purpose and may appear in most, if not all, of them). Hopefully collections and boosters will be unlocked for a number of these during the campaign. Although the Howling collection & booster along with new cult stretch goals may show that list is expanding slightly.

Current advertised cults are -

- Arcane Seekers

- Cult De Ghouls

- Dagonites

- Death Cult

- Dunwich Folk

- Serpent Worshippers

An added bonus for some pledge levels -

No one likes being hounded by an unknown assailant on any old day of the week. You need a good day for going a-stalkin’ and what could be better than Friday the 13th? Backers at the Model Cultist level and higher will receive a limited edition multi-part Maniac! Sculpted by Bob Murch, this nut case will be truly customizable, coming with multiple head and weapon options, ensuring no two Maniacs are the same. This model will never be sold again…don’t be just another victim!

Stretch goals -

Every pledge of Model Cultist and higher will receive a free Degenerate model!

Personally I already have enough models from Strange Aeons (and a few gaps with other companies models) to field cults for most of these but I am especially looking forward to pick the Cult De Ghouls and Dunwich boxes (and hopefully a new Dagonite model or two).

I have the second edition core rules. This game is amazing, easily one of the best skirmish games I have ever come across. Here is my overview:

Funny, the only mini I'm interested in is KS exclusive and I don't do KS any more. More money for other people then.

No bundle with a physical copy of both this and Strange Aeons, for those without either who'd like to jump in whole-heartedly?

That would be a great idea!

Print copies of SA2E are currently OOS. Not sure if Uncle Mike wants to tackle another print run on top of VUK printrun.

But no harm in making a pledge to ask via KS hehehe ...

Uncle Mike is aware of the demand for a second print run and is apologetic that it hasn't happened yet but there is no harm in an extra voice requesting a copy.

Some starter bundles for three other factions have now been added, these are existing models from sister game Strange Aeons but have been bundled in new ways to work better for VUK.

I have too many unpainted miniatures to get in on this, but the style of the campaign and video are fantastic.

I have asked if the video can be uploaded to YouTube so that I can embed it here. The jingle is very catchy.

(Please check it out if you haven't already)

The good thing about this game is that you only need a small force to play so less painting to do

@Slayer

Let me recommend that you skip the minis and just get the book.

The game is miniature-agnostic. I have a ton of minis to use with Strange Aeons and only a small handful are Uncle Mike's.

Thanks for the recommendation, I will certainly consider picking it up. Will I need a copy of Strange Aeons to play this or is it a standalone game?

Hmmm. I have a PDF copy of Strange Aeons 2e I bought a few years back, but have since discovered that while I have no trouble browsing PDFs, I need a physical book to reference at the table.

If print runs lapse like this (I've also been waiting forever for a restock of the solo play card deck) I don't feel very comfortable backing this Kickstarter. Which is a shame. I have plenty of Mythos minis to play with.

That is the wrong conclusion. Getting a print version of a ruleset through a KS is the optimal strategy for dealing with a one-man company that cannot constantly reprint stuff.

So I can get this one, other game I'm less interested in than the one with investigators vs. the Mythos? No thanks.

OK sure, if you don't want VUK the yeah no reason to back this KS ... since it is the VUK KS. Thought you were saying, you don't want VUK because Uncle Mike always sells through what he can afffofd to print in a given period.

Well, yeah. If future availability is going to be an issue if you don't go all in RIGHT NOW, then that's an issue too. I might be interested in VUK *if* I could also get Strange Aeons and the Solo Deck in print. But I can't, so I'm not. Especially since I can't know what I'd be able to get for VUK in the future. If he can't afford to keep his other game in stock, there's no guarantee this one will be around for long, either.

Whatever works for you. I got SA2E when it was in stock, I'll get VUK from this KS, and some day, when the solo deck is reprinted, I'll get that, too. I think if you need the planets to align on this, the time may never come.

I can speak highly of Strange Aeons as well. Great campaign system and plenty deadly. I had looked a bit at the Von Aussprechlichen Kulten beta-PDF and found many of the same core rules as Strange Aeons.

I look forward to seeing what changes they made.

I was lucky enough to receive some previews of a few of the new models a couple of months back.

One of the models hasn't been shown publicly yet so I will keep quiet on that one but I must say the two new style ghouls I received are outstanding quality and thanks to the number of arm options they come with you can customise them nicely.

Was in for the 80 dollar pledge and waiting for something to spend my moneys on, that blerg blarg guy is pretty great. Giant wolf looks cool, I know in the normal game there's a difference between wolfman (Lon Chaney Jr) and werewolf (Underworld) but damn that's a huge wolf!

That link was provided in a backer only update stating that backers could download them. Not sure Uncle Mike wanted it shared on the largest wargaming forum on the internet...

Apologies, I have now removed. For some reason my Kickstarter app isn’t displaying that post as backer only like it usually does but will take your word on it.

You don't have to take my word on it. Just look at the updates via a browser. Plain to see.

Anyway this project has hit a brick wall. There's currently very little incentive to go for the bigger pledges, especially for long term fans. If it stays this way I'll be dropping to just the book by the end.

I would be very surprised if they don’t unlock the other two announced cults as a Wednesday update as they appear to have already have casts (I have the Dulwich chainsaw guy on my desk at home).
