Greetings Designers,

I was wondering if anyone is aware of any wargames out there where your initial starting force is randomized? I.e. you have a pool of potential units, but you may not have access to all of those units in your force? You draw cards or some other method and end up with a starting force of X.

Let me know if you can think of any designs like this. I am not aware of any.

AK-47 Republic had partial randomization, due to a "political maneuvering" phase that happened pre-game. You spent some army points on modifying pregame rolls, so a trade embargo might force some one of your motorized units to footslog, or the Cuban ambassador might accidentally "misplace" a tank for your army to use.

AK-47 Republic from Peter Pig. I have seen it but never played. Thanks, I will look into it.
