My friend has asked me to paint some Chaos Dwarves and he has provided this as what he wants them to look like.



I was just wondering what colours you think would replicate this best?

The image is pretty poor quality. I will undercoat black then probably drybrush some sort of grey to highlight the armour, but I don't know the GW colours enough to know what to do for the orange red bits. Any advice is super appreciated.

Paint the armour in very dark grey and highlight with grey. I don't think those orange bits are orange at all, those look bronze to me. For the red it's difficult to tell, but I think mephiston red is your best bet.

Panzer Grey (Vellajo primer for armor)
Drybrush highlight lighter grey
Bronze trim with sepia wash/brown wash
Mephiston red
Dark brown for staff.

Bases
Paint Blazing orange first,
Paint scab red over that leaving orange exposed.

You may want to look at painting the Deathwatch armor to get the black right.
