Hi all
My first 2k game with blood angels
I'm playing my friend on Friday and he is playing chaos

Here the list comments are always welcome as I have lots spare models such 15 termies land raider 5 dreadnoughts 5 assault termies 3 bikes a land speeder
Storm talon 30 plus tacticals 5 more assault marines

Strategy is for the sanguinary guard and Dante and methe to go in the raven death company and lemartes to deepstrike with the assault squad as well and all the tacticals go into razorback and rhino

what kinda comments you want. Can you alter the list, if that's your list anyways?

What about your battle plan, what's your tactics?

I'd proxy DC bolt pistols as boltguns. Does your group allow using SM codex points for PF etc? I think in some warhammer community post those things were allowed for BA/DA etc counter parts.

Help us help you and ask something specific or tell us can we help to tweak your list a bit etc.

I guess that Mephiston and assault squad goes into the SR. Your assault squad is the most non-competitive, Drop the melta and eviscerator and play them as footslogging DC with boltguns and chainswords? Mephy giving them +1 attack.

Hi I have updated now with what I have spare and given tactics and you can only fit 5 jump packs in storm raven so hence why sanguinary guard mephiston and Dante in storm raven also minimises my drops to 7 I thinks

In your list entry, there's no jump packs on the assault squad so that's why I assumed that they were for the SR. I would still suggest that proxy them as footslogging DC, then you can put more of them in the SR, Mephiston is walking as well. I'd drop the sanguinary guard with Dante and JP DC with Lemmy inside cover for better change of beta assault. Even with Lemmy's re-roll it happens too rarely.

I see your point in placing Dante and SG in the SR, but if you think how big point sink it is for you "all the eggs in one basket". Don't think your SR will last until the end of T2.

SR is good for tranporting hammernators and I'd recommend squeezing a dreadnought in there. Even that BA has the fastest dreads, still SR is the only closely competitive method bringing your fragiosos/DC dreads in range. I tend to use a librarian dreadnought with the SR to give buffs. There's actually one my made batrep with libby dread and 6man van vets in a SR, if you scroll a page or two.

In my meta we use the upcoming chapter aproved sneak peak for the +1 to who starts (same as ITC). Also power fists are 8p less in points vs. the index. That's widely used rule that DA&BA and other non-codex chapters can use the updated points from the SM codex. Biggest changes are the PF and predator pricing.

So my suggestions are:

play the assault squad as a footslogging DC with boltguns and chainswords accompanying Mephiston for buffs.

Drop Mephy and the assault squad and squeeze a hammernators and a dread (libby/furioso/dc) in the SR aswell. DS Dante with the SG, if you are feeling lucky, you can drop them to drop a minor armored threat with overcharging I use Dante and plasma SG for such play, but they are accompanied with 2x 3man squads of plasma company vets with jump packs with one storm shield.

If your not into proxying, I think it took like less than 30min for me to cut all the wrists of my bolt pistol DC and glue a boltgun ~20 models. I just sprayed the boltguns beforehand and threw some nuln oil after glueing. tabletop! I recommend using super glue, so most times plastic pieces just snap off if you really want for easier "swapping", you never know what the next edition brings. (drop pods viable again, hehe)

Btw, I suggest using a single plasma cannon/dev squad. Now that you can target each weapon at each target some heavy weapon saturation is solid. With the signum from the sergeant you can't ever explode your plasma cannon. You don't even need a captain to baby sit for those re-rolls. Something to look up, something I've learned by doing.

rapid fire from the boltguns before an assault is imho a better option than the bolt pistol shooting in the close combat.

Hope this feedback from a single source has any help for you. Too rarely we see BA lists in here after all!

Thanks for the suggestions I will try out the list and then make some changes I am wanting to get some libby dreadnoughts and do a super vanguard one day for a giggle but for no I will defo infest in some

However don't think you can cast when your embarked on a transport though :p even if your being baby carried on a storm raven xD I don't want to repaint my assault squad and have cut some points for jump packs for them but if I can rejig the points and make them to the same dc squad I have but as you aid pop them in the storm raven

I get what ya mean with the points differences etc and the chapter approved stuff however rules as written and until we get a codex xD my store and local gaming club use the presence setup rules etc as it the way it ment to be played atm xD next purchases will be 3 baal predators xD

Why? 3 there is lots of close combat and lots of plasma etc if it a tank I tie it up etc no issues control objectives and win :p

It's not that easy against people who know what they are doing. I've given up on CC with BA because of screening units. CC is weak in 8th. Very weak.

I like the list. Personally, I think your anti tank is perfectly fine, you've got some great variety in there with plasma cannons, missiles, mephiston. I highly doubt that every single army will be a baneblade wrapped with half a board's worth of conscripts, so I'd very strongly advise to stick with what you've got here. BA certainly aren't top tier, but we've still got stats and rules for a reason: WE'RE STILL IN THE GAME! Those fists still work, pistols still shoot, stormraven tears up. Should be alright!

At the end of the day, there will be other tournaments. See how it goes, and if you can, let us know how it goes! Alter accordingly. Smash it out there!
